BBBVET DB RFECTI01iNE1V#af.C CHAUDIERE A CHAUFFAGE CENTRAL ET USAGES DOMESTIQUES.
<Desc/Clms Page number 2>
<Desc/Clms Page number 3>
<Desc/Clms Page number 4>
partie inclinée 2 de la chaudière dans l'espace compris entre la paroi 4 du foyer domestique et le fond du four- neau et passent dans, la boite à famée dans laquelle. debei chent également les gaa du foyer domestique par une ou- verture ménagedans celle-ci au niveau inférieur de la paroi inclinée 2 ;

BBBVET DB RFECTI01iNE1V # af.C CENTRAL HEATING BOILER AND DOMESTIC USE.
In order to obtain as complete a use as possible of the calories from the two fires, modifications and improvements have been made to the device which is the subject of the main patent and the improvement patent of October 2, 1929 N 364.202, other modifications Details have been made to this heater and will be described below.
The modified apparatus is shown by way of example in the accompanying drawing in which:
Fig. 1 is a partial perspective view of the assembly, showing only the assembly formed by the central heating boiler and the fireplace for domestic use; the part comprising the baking oven being supposed to be removed. fig. 2 is a vertical sectional view taken along the longitudinal median part of the apparatus.
<Desc / Clms Page number 2>
Fig. 3 is a rear view thereof, the base plate being assumed to be removed.
As seen in the drawing, the boiler 1 for central heating is formed by double walls in which the water to be heated is circulated; one of its walls is partially insolated 2; this one is arranged in the direction of the width of the whole of the apparatus as in the main patent; on this wall is arranged replacement of the domestic hearth limited by a portion of this inclined wall, by the double walls 3 and 4 and by a removable parabola which will be discussed later; a grid 27 is disposed at the level of the omenement of the non-linear part of the wall. The upper part of the boiler 1 is closed, except towards the front by a ceiling 5 with double wall.
On the side walls of the cat flap can be arranged series of pipes 6 and 7 in number and of variable dimensions opening at their ends into the double front and rear walls of the oboiler; these pipes have a double purpose, first they increase the heating surface, then they are spaces between them so as to form a basket for the coal, their spacing is such that only small cinders can pass between them, consequently, the charcoal cannot come into contact with the walls along which they are arranged; pipes 8, 9 mounted in the same way as the previous ones but of larger diameter, are arranged at the level of the grid 10 and limit it laterally.
It is the opening of the ashtray partially formed, above the grid 10, by the small vertical grid 12 to prevent the ohute of the coal; 13
<Desc / Clms Page number 3>
is the loading port.
In 14 is gathered all the regulating members; 15 is a water level indicator, 16 a regulating thermometer controlling by lever 17 and the rod the opening and closing of the air intake flap 19 disposed at the bottom of the boiler 1 and which opens out under the carcass in times of the set, 20 is the departure of hot water. All of these components are at the rear of the device, leaving the front completely free. the rest of the device is made up as follows
The hearth for domestic use is closed as we have seen previously on its fourth face by the removable parabola 21 which protects the oven 22 against the ooups of fire.
This oven is arranged so that the gases from the domestic hearth can circulate on the top, the side and the bottom of the oven 22 and then escape through the opening 23 into a smoke box arranged at the rear of the oven and on which is mounted the general gas exhaust chimney 24.
An inclined sheet 25 disposed at the bottom of the inclined part 2 of the boiler 1 guides the ashes from the domestic hearth in the ashtray 26, a sheet 27 isolates the oven from said ashtray.
The assembly is reopened as usual by a cast iron plate 28 provided with the usual openings. the gases from the boiler 1 escape from the boiler through the opening 29 made in the front part of the ceiling of the said boiler, pass between the top of the ceiling 5 and the plate 28, they then come to lick the
<Desc / Clms Page number 4>
inclined part 2 of the boiler in the space between the wall 4 of the domestic hearth and the bottom of the furnace and pass into the famée box in which. also debei chent the gaa of the domestic hearth by an opening arranged in this one at the lower level of the inclined wall 2;
under these conditions, the calories from gas are used in the best condition%.
As regards the gases from the domestic hearth, these pass partially around the oven 22 as indicated above and partially above the ceiling of the boiler 1 and follow the same path as the gas of the latter.
It will be understood that the two fires thus groups ensure as complete use as possible of the calories, hence a very appreciable saving in fuel for the central heating.
Note that thanks to the arrangement of the domestic fireplace and the constitution of three of its sides in double walls in which the water to be heated circulates, this fireplace when it is the only one to be lit is sufficient to ensure the hot water service. .
The general formas of this apparatus (the heating as well as the respective dimensions of the various constituent parts are given only by way of example and may vary according to the needs.
