LIGHT SIGNALING DEVICE WITH DAY AND NIGHT EFFECT FOR ALL APPLICATIONS "
The object of the present invention is to establish a light signaling device with a daytime and night-time effect, for all applications and in particular for indicating signs of public roads.
According to the invention, such a device is essentially characterized by the fact that it comprises, in the bottom of a casing of suitable shape, a mirror furnished with suitable roughnesses for reflecting in all directions the rays emitted by the device. the light source or sources provided in the device, said rays thus reflected being directed simultaneously through a mirror or glass plate arranged angularly by raoport to the vertical plane, ..

mirror and whose upper edge suitably cut and silvery reflective so that part of these rays emitted by light sources are reflected and directed in the thickness of this glass, to illuminate the parts or characters engraved in the thickness and on the inside of it,
the other part of these rays being captured by the above-mentioned mirror to be returned through the glass to illuminate the translucent parts which may be colored, forming a crimp around said parts or engraved characters.
Such an arrangement makes it possible to obtain perfect luminous uniformity thanks to the distance between the mirror and the glass, which is inversely proportional to the distance from the luminous focus.
By way of example, one embodiment of the object of the invention is described below with reference to the appended schematic drawing in which: designates a preferably metallic housing, closed by a removable cover b and comprising a vertical wall c intended to be leaned and fixed against a wall, surface or support and to retain internally a mirror ± furnished with suitable roughness to reflect light in all directions, the opposite wall e of this box being inclined at a certain angle by compared to the first and presenting a window ± revealing the mirror or glass plate g bearing the characters or signs to be illuminated.
The glass g has at its upper part a beveled edge g1, which is angularly lined with a silver layer forming a reflector and established so that the rays emitted by the light source or sources h are reflected and

directed into the thickness of this ice.
The texts, ihscriptions or patterns to be illuminated are engraved at i on the internal face of the crystal g, while a translucent setting or thread j, colored or not, is left around the letters or the like making up said texts or inscriptions.
The rest of the ice, apart from a k-band left at the top of it to allow light rays to reach and be reflected by, the reflector gl, is coated on its inner face with a opaque layer 1 of appropriate color.
According to this arrangement, the rays adapted because the reflector g1 are conducted parallel to the faces of the lens and are refracted on the stripped parts, illuminating them.
On the other hand, the rays captured by the mirror d are returned to the glass and illuminate the translucent parts forming a net around the letters or engraved characters.
