Dans la selle envisagée la bass d'appui ou patin de la selle ou siège est formée de deux plats s'étendant chacun de la traverse arrière du siège vers l'avant ou redresses vers le haut ils servent d'attache à la poignée puis replies vers l'arrière forment à leur extrémité l'articulation du bec ou pommeau du siège élastique proprement dit.
