<Desc/Clms Page number 2>

chargeur étant indiquées dans ces figures;
<Desc/Clms Page number 4>
L'on satisfait à cette condition, d'abord par.l'emploi d'un tambour à excentraiton, qui effectue exactement un tour de révolution pour prendre une pleine longueur de course du cable.Foutefois, s'il est nécessaire d'avoir au maximum de charge, une poussée de la ma- nivelle ayant toute la puissance admissible quand le dispositif , chargeur est à position médiane, il faut renoncer par contre à un accroissement de vitesse obtenable d'un côté par la diminution ra- pide du moment de charge et d'un autre coté par l'augmentation'si- multanée du bras de la force, Mais, si à cette fin, l'on donne au tambour une excetraion de valeur adéquate, on aura, à fin de cour- se un abaissement inadmissible de la vitesse. ;
<Desc/Clms Page number 5>
vitesse.
?tant
<Desc/Clms Page number 6>
donné que, chaque fois que cet axe est penché'-en oblique par¯rap- port au sol, comme c'est le cas, en raison d'inégalités du ter- rain à toute charge qui en application au point'24 tendrait à faire redescendre la flèche, il s'opposerait toujours une charge. égale et le sens opposé appliquée au point 30, on est.assuré, quel que soit l'angle de basculement,, d'avoir l'équilibre parfait dans l'amplitude de basculement, ce qui fait rester infailliblement la, bande dans toutes les positions;

LOADING DEVICE FOR ROLLING CONVEYORS,, BELT OR BELT.
The present invention relates to a device for loading the rolling belt or belt conveyors.
According to this invention, a loader which is arranged on a chassi (which may be tilting, rolling or sliding) is able to precede the transporter in its action. One can, inter alia ,, constitute this loader device by a bucket chain, the lower tower pulley- 'would be parallel to a sheet placed under the pulley and receiving the product to be poured. The object of this invention makes possible a stockpiling of the material which otherwise would only be obtainable by advancing the conveyor.
On the other hand, it is possible to ensure a rapid retreat of the loader device in the event that the material piled up in a steep slope suddenly descends.
<Desc / Clms Page number 2>
this is what makes it possible to advance the apparatus only at intervals of time separated by a much longer pause while "eliminating the need to back up due to an overload of the charging device.
The latter is arranged so as to lend itself equally well to automatic displacement than by manual intervention, by moving ahead of the transporter, the loader device attacks the heap so as to a great height above the ground; it sinks into the material under the effect of its own weight and deep enough to finally land on the ground. The speed can be regulated by means of a capstan; which at the same time serves to quickly rewire the magazine as many times as is deemed necessary.
As the, movements and passes follow one another, the loader pours the material onto a belt or conveyor belt with greater uniformity and speed than ever before. The device further offers the advantage that a conveyor belt can be chosen having a steeper inclination angle. The device may, .être, of a design which comprises a frame placed in suspension in the tractor part of a capstan and adapted to the inclined frame of the transporter, either with tilting or rolling or sliding.
This frame carries a small set of buckets and, in order to amplify the clearing zone, it is possible to add to the sides of this bucket transporter conveyor screws rotating on the lower shaft of the bucket set.
It is not essential that the loader device is mounted in combination with a belt conveyor whose movement it precedes; it could just as easily be placed on a running frame under which any kind of transporter could be mounted, and then this combination would still benefit from all the advantages set out in the claims as well as in the descriptive text of the 'invention,
The object of this invention has been shown, in several exemplary embodiments, in the accompanying drawings., Namely:
Figures 1 and 2. views of a loading device which is placed on a rolling frame of short length, 'different positions of
<Desc / Clms Page number 3>
charger being indicated in these figures;
Figures 3 and 4 'show another embodiment.
In these views, 1 designates the loader device, the chas- sis of which carries the control motor, while 2 designates the set of bars of the directing parallelogram and 3 designates the winch; 4 is the special sliding frame which can be made to travel on its wheels 5 and which has its direction ensured by rollers 6. It is to this, rolling frame that the joints 7 and 8 of the bars 2 are attached. Above the drop slide 9, the conveyor tilting is carried out, for example of the conveyor 10 which is brought under the rolling frame. As for the length of the parallelogram lever arms 2 as well as their inclination, these are taken such that the buckets 11 and the screw 12 move parallel to the shoveling plate 13 and at a small distance. of her.
The loader device is brought to the fully raised position in the pile of material (fig.l) and the material of the slope thereof accumulates on the shoveling plate, as much as possible, to a height such that, the buckets as well as the auger continuously come into contact with a renewed and relatively steep slope of material. Under these conditions the shoveling plate forms with the ground a hopper at an obtuse angle and the buckets can draw deeply material in this hopper; the material rolling down the slope is always refilled, so as to make full use of the contents of all the buckets.
Depending on the pace at which this demolition of the heap is progressing, the man in charge of the machine will push it. shoveling sheet further into the heap, either by acting on a crank or by means of a clamping lever or else this operation can be carried out by a motor control.
In this way, a very clean clearing of the place in question is obtained, while sparing the product to be handled, that the buckets excavate and take in all places, the shoveling sheet which is very smooth; for the same reason, the cups and the screws are also spared; finally, the motive power is saved in a very appreciable proportion. We can all the better
<Desc / Clms Page number 4>
monitor the rapidity of renewals of the material bank so that the loader device can be moved forward and backward more quickly; note that its weight can be considerable, depending on the import of the desired yield.
This is obviously what brings to mind the idea of a mechanical control of the winch; however, it is much preferable to leave the actuation of this rather under the influence of the impression of the serving, which alternately feels in a way the slope.
The greatest degree of speed should correspond to the middle position, where the loader has its greatest range.
This condition is satisfied, first of all by the use of an eccentric drum, which makes exactly one revolution of revolution to take a full length of cable travel. However, if it is necessary to have at maximum load, a thrust of the crane having all the admissible power when the device, loader is in the middle position, it is necessary to renounce on the other hand an increase in speed obtainable on one side by the rapid reduction of the moment. of load and on the other hand by the simultaneous increase of the arm of the force, But, if to this end, one gives to the drum an excetraion of adequate value, one will have, at the end of the stroke an inadmissible reduction in speed. ;
For the lowest position as well as for the highest position, the load arm corresponds to the smallest radius of the offset drum, ie 15, while the largest radius of the drum and therefore also the highest. high speed, correspond to the middle position of the charging device. However, the cable 16 starting from the drum does not pass through the idler pulley 17 to arrive at the rear extension 18 of the top parallelogram lever and passing through its pivot point 8 of this lever acts to relieve the frame. carrying the charging device.
Both by the fact of the idle pulley and by the differential movement due to the non-rigidity in the place where the cable is fixed to the lever 18, there is manifested at the start of the stroke, a particularly strong decrease in the
<Desc / Clms Page number 5>
speed. Between the idler pulley and the place of attachment of the cable there is further provided a fixed pulley 10 which is touched by the towing cable when the bucket set is in its lowered position. when turning, to raise the load, the cable therefore tightens the rim of this fixed pulley more and more, the action of the idler pulley tending more and more to cease, until it no longer exists at all during the highest position of the charging device.
Along with the hypothesel resulting from an overall transmission in the winch, there is also a decrease in the force reducing the weight of the loading device and ceasing to exist in the extreme position, because then the cable goes through the joint
8 of the parallelogram. Of course, the device can be installed as a dimple element (ie to be placed in the middle of the loader frame) as well as split (therefore to be placed on both sides of this frame).
In the embodiment according to FIGS. 3 and 4, the loader device is mounted in a constructive relation with a belt conveyor. This conveyor 20 rising from the ground, discharges the product over the pulley 21 into the funnel 22 and from this it passes over the tiltable belt 23 and, crossing the pulley 24, comes to discharge into the funnel. The cart. The vertical tilting axis is formed by the top collar bearing 25 and the bottom lug bearing 26; these two stages are separated, so that, in their solution of continuity, it is ossitle to place the funnel and the control of the. conveyor belt.
From the point of suspension 27 of the tiltable band leaves a pressure leg 28 'which terminates at the crapaudine bearing while a tie rod 29 terminates at the collar bearing 25 which has been given an extension in the other direction to adapt to 1' At the end of a counterweight 30 (a box containing ballast). in order to maintain the load balance for the tiltable belt. Under these conditions, the center of gravity of the overall system. all the parts necessary for the auxiliary ban, is transferred in the tilting axis 25-26 and consequently the load is evenly distributed on the wheels 31.
so much
<Desc / Clms Page number 6>
given that, whenever this axis is tilted'-obliquely relative to the ground, as is the case, due to unevenness of the ground at any load which in application at point'24 would tend to to lower the arrow, he would always oppose a charge. equal and the opposite direction applied to point 30, we are.assured, whatever the tilting angle, to have the perfect balance in the tilting amplitude, which infallibly keeps the band in all positions;
moreover, the force required for tilting is only very small. ± Therefore it is possible to operate at a tipping angle of up to 90 degrees and to match the length of the tipping belt without hesitation to any practical conditions. that this is compatible with the uniformity of load on large wheels.
The tilting belt could be executed both so as to have its position changeable in height as shown in the drawings) and with a fixed dumping height of the pulley 24, in which case the pressure leg 2.8 would be omitted, because the supporting frame of the strip 23 would then itself transmit to the slider 26 the component force of the thrust.
