EMI1.1
<Desc/Clms Page number 2>
La présente invention a donc pour objet le produit industriel nouveau que constitue un appareil distributeur permettant de délivrer, sous forme de jet ou sous forme de très fines gouttelettes, une substance liquide, notamment pour les soins et le traitement de la peau et des muqueuses, ledit appareil comprenant : a) un réservoir de ladite substance liquide ;
<Desc/Clms Page number 3>
<Desc/Clms Page number 4>
<Desc/Clms Page number 5>
<Desc/Clms Page number 6>

EMI1.1
The present invention relates to an apparatus which distributes liquid, in the form of a jet or atomization; it is particularly usable for distributing an active product on the skin and mucous membranes, for cleaning and / or treatment, in particular of the dermatological or pharmaceutical type.
"Aerosol spray" type packages for spraying mineral water on the skin, under the force of a fine and light mist, have become an extremely common use in dermatology and in daily care of personal hygiene . The mineral water contained in the container may be sprayed out of it under the effect of a propellant gas. This atomization process of mineral water is particularly suitable for the treatment of dry and irritated skin, for example by the use of hard water. In addition, a spray allows the deposition of very fine water droplets on a relatively large area of skin, for example, all over the face, which gives the user a pleasant sensation and has probably contributed to commercial success. of these atomizers.
However, the products delivered by containers of this type are always delivered in the cold state. However, it may be useful to have devices which allow product distributions to be carried out at temperatures which, while remaining tolerable by the skin and mucous membranes, are higher. One could in particular consider carrying out the application, on the skin, of a substance in aqueous solution which would prove more active when hot than when cold. We may simply wish to carry out a distribution of hot water, for example in the field of hygiene care.
It may also be advantageous to make, as desired, hot distributions and frock distributions, or even to be able to obtain a distribution of product whose temperature varies, for example in order to obtain
<Desc / Clms Page number 2>
an alternation of the heat effect and the freshness effect, each effect being able to be obtained for a determined time, according to the result which one wishes to obtain. Thus, one can consider spraying the skin with a mist of mineral water which, for one second, either cold, then for ten seconds is very hot, or vice versa: one can thus obtain a treatment of the skin by succession of thermal shock.
The present invention provides a dispensing device which performs all these functions and which offers the additional advantages of having a very simple structure and being extremely easy to handle.
According to the present invention, provision is in fact made for the liquid substance to be dispensed to be brought by pumping from a reservoir, which may be removable, to a dispensing head controlled in a completely conventional manner by the operation of a push-button, and that said substance can be, before ejection, heated to a desired temperature or according to a pre-established heating program, allowing in particular alternation of hot and cold.
The present invention therefore relates to the new industrial product that constitutes a dispensing device making it possible to deliver, in the form of a jet or in the form of very fine droplets, a liquid substance, in particular for the care and treatment of the skin and mucous membranes, said apparatus comprising: a) a reservoir of said liquid substance;
goal. manual distribution device for distributing said liquid substance in precipitated form; c) a device for pumping said liquid substance, which is capable of starting up during actuation of the manual control of the dispensing member and which comprises, on the one hand, a channelization of suction connected to or formed by a tube immersed in said tank, and, on the other hand, a discharge pipe connected to said distribution member,
<Desc / Clms Page number 3>
characterized in that said apparatus also comprises a heating member disposed around the tube of the liquid substance delivery pipe and having a very low thermal inertia.
The tank of the apparatus according to the present invention is preferably a removable tank. Furthermore, this reservoir may internally include at least one device allowing a treatment of the liquid substance to be distributed by an active product. According to an advantageous embodiment, such a treatment device consists of a container which contains the active product, which has a solid to pasty consistency or is combined with a support of solid to pasty consistency, said container comprising at least one orifice making it possible to place said active product in permanent contact with the liquid substance to be dispensed, with a view to carrying out a chemical treatment of said substance or to gradually combine with it, depending on the nature of said active product.
In particular, this active product can be chosen from sequestering agents, perfumes and disinfecting agents.
The dispensing member of the atomizing apparatus according to the present invention consists in particular of a dispensing valve which is arranged on the delivery pipe of the pumping member and the opening of which is controlled by a button. pusher associated with a dispenser head

tion.
In a first variant, the push button itself constitutes the dispensing head. In second and third variants, the push button is provided with an ebcut, respectively rigid or flexible, the free end of which carries the dispensing head.
According to a preferred embodiment of the pumping member, it consists of a self-priming pump.
<Desc / Clms Page number 4>
It is particularly preferred that the pumping member is a gear pump.
Furthermore, the heating member of the atomizing apparatus according to the present invention is advantageously arranged around a tube of the delivery pipe for the liquid substance and it has very low thermal inertia. This heating member may consist in particular of a heating resistor which is in the form of a winding housed in a sheath surrounding said tubing of the discharge pipe.
The control member of the heating member can be an all or nothing switch; said control member can also be associated with an electronic device making it possible to ensure, at each dispensing operation, heating of the liquid expelled according to a pre-established program.
In a particularly preferred embodiment of the dispensing device according to the present invention, the pumping member and the heating member are housed and supported in the body of a shoemaker whose cover carries the control member of the heater, as well as the distribution member.
To better understand the object of the present invention, there will be described in more detail below, by way of purely illustrative and nonlimiting example, a challenge mode shown in the accompanying drawing.
In this drawing: - Figure l is a perspective view of a dispensing device according to a preferred embodiment. of the present invention; - Figures 2 and 3 each show an alternative embodiment of the dispensing member of the device of Figure 1; - Figure 4 is an exploded perspective view of the apparatus of Figure 1; and
<Desc / Clms Page number 5>
- Figure 5 is a sectional view, along the plane V-V of the figure, showing the support of the heating member and the gears of the gear pump fitted to the dispenser of Figure 1.
In Figure 1, there is shown a dispensing device 1 for performing very fine sprays of fresh water on the skin. This device 1 constitutes an assembly having the general form of an elongated rectangular parallelepiped, relatively flat, the user being able to easily place it in the palm of his hand and operate the push button which it comprises and which will be described later, of the same as if it were a conventional aerosol container.
As can be seen in the drawing, the apparatus 1 comprises a housing 2 constituted by a housing body 3 and by a cover 4. The housing body 3 has the shape of an elongated rectangular parallelepiped which, in the position in which the device 1 is placed on a support, is arranged in the direction of the height, whose small upper face would not be materialized and from which one would have, opposite said non-materialized face, removed a shaped lateral element of rectangular parallelepiped, materialized on four faces, thus constituting a lower lateral space 5, which is intended to be occupied by a cylindrical tank 6 described below. The device 1 thus retains a compact overall shape.
Furthermore, the housing body 3 is cut laterally, opposite the space intended to house the tank 6, to form an element 7 having a U-shaped cross section, an element which can be replaced against the body 3, so as to reconstitute the parale: elepiped shape of the housing; element 7 constitutes a removable cover for a low voltage transformer 8 housed in this part of the housing body 3.
The reservoir 6 has a cylindrical side wall 9 connected, on the one hand, to a bottom 10 and, on the other hand,
<Desc / Clms Page number 6>
by means of a shoulder 11, to a neck 12 carrying an external thread 13.
Inside the tank 6 is arranged, substantially along its axis, a container 14 in the form of a tube, the side wall of which comprises a plurality of orifices 15 and the upper end of which comprises means 16 for hooking on a support which will be described below. This container 15 is filled with an active product, namely an ion exchange resin, the role of which is to ensure softening of the water cor. held in the tank 6. The tank 6 also contains a dip tube 17, the axis of which is parallel to that of the container 14.
The housing body 3 also serves as a housing
EMI6.1
to a support 18; the support 18 comprises a rectangular base 19, by which it can be placed in the housing body 3 perpendicular to the axis of the reservoir 6, said base 19 carrying, in one piece with it, on the one hand, in its central region, a plate 20 arranged in parallel, and, on the other hand, at one of its ends, a bracket 21 comprising an arm 2la disposed perpendicularly and an arm 21b which overhangs an end region of said plate
EMI6.2
that 20. The arm 21b of the bracket 21 serves as a support for the motor 22a of a gear pump 22, the cogwheels 22t, 22 of which occupy a housing 23 of appropriate shape, formed in the plate 20.
The base 19 is crossed, to the right of the housing 23, by urt passage 17a in which is inserted axially the upper end of the dip tube 17. The dip tube 17 therefore constitutes the suction pipe of the pump 22. The discharge pipe of said pump 22 consists of two sections: firstly, a bore z formed in the plate 20 parallel to the plane of the latter, from the housing 23, and directed opposite the bracket 21; secondly, a tube 24 arranged perpendicular to said plate 20, above the latter
<Desc / Clms Page number 7>
ci, the tubing 24b opening into the bore 24a.
The tubing 24b is surrounded by a sheath in which is disposed a heating coil, the assembly which carries the reference number 25 constituting a heating member, the power cord 26 of which is connected to the transformer 8, which is by elsewhere connected to the male member, not shown, of an electrical outlet, the corresponding electrical cord 27 passing through an orifice made at the base of the body 3 of the housing 2.
The base 19 comprises, on the side opposite to that which carries the plate 20, a skirt 6 internally carrying a thread complementary to the thread 13 of the reservoir 6 for the purpose of mounting the latter.
The cover 4 has the overall shape of a stair step. On the highest part of its upper face, is arranged a switch 28 intended to control the heating member 25, as well as an indicator light 29. The switch 28 comprises an index 28a intended to be placed in front of one or the other of two pins 30, 30, the switch 28 operating on the all or nothing principle.
On the other part of the cover 4, there is a dispensing valve 31, the outlet tube 3la of which is intended to receive a push button 32, which is of the conventional type for aerosol dispensing, and which comprises laterally, for this purpose, an atomizing tablet 32.
The upper end of the tubing 24b is, in the device mounting position, connected to the dispensing valve on 31.
The push button 32 can be replaced by the one (132), which is shown in FIG. 2, or by the one (2 2), which is shown in FIG. 3.
The push button 132 carries a tip laterally. rigid guard 133, the free end of which carries the dispensing head 134 provided with its atomizing tablet 132a similar to the tablet 32a. Push button 132 is also
<Desc / Clms Page number 8>
LEMENT conventional type and commonly used in the case of nebulizers, for example for the treatment of the throat with medicinal substances.
The push button 232 laterally carries a flexible tubular end piece 233, which is connected to said push button 232 by a rigid sleeve 235 and which carries, at its free end, an elongated dispensing head 23 ending in a curved spout 234a. This type of push button 232 is also commonly used for gum care and can deliver threadlike jets.
In use, the apparatus 1 being connected, the self-priming of the pump 22 is caused by pressing the push-button 32 and the output of a jet or of a nebulization of the liquid substance to be distribute, this substance being hot or cold depending on whether the index 28a of the switch
