 <Desc/Clms Page number 2>

 <Desc/Clms Page number 3>

  "Multifunction cooking oven with separate compartments"
The invention relates to a multifunction cooking oven with separate compartments.

   We know composite baking ovens
 EMI1.1
 of an external structure in which are contained a muffle and a heating sole, closed at the front part by a door provided with a high-resistance glass, articulated by hinges on the muffle.

   This generalized diffusion structure is produced both in the form of built-in elements and in ovens associated with hobs, the latter type of association being commonly known under the generic name of stove or stove with oven.

   Currently, commercial ovens have rather bulky dimensions, favorable for wasting energy and not allowing an easy adjustment of the temperature, especially in the case of cooking something of reduced dimensions.

   However, in this sector, an increasingly demanding and attentive clientele requires ovens, built-in or not, dates of characteristics likely to allow energy savings in the first place and in the second place easy to use and adjust.

   The main object of the invention is to eliminate these drawbacks of the known technique, by conforming to observed market trends.

   This object is achieved, according to the invention, by a baking oven essentially constituted by an external structure containing a muffle, characterized by the fact that in said muffle there has been provided at least one horizontal partition for the separation of this muffle into at at least two separate compartments, which can be heated by independent heating elements, and each provided with a closing door.

   Preferably, according to the invention, these independent heating means will be of a different nature.

   Other characteristics of the invention and its advantages will clearly emerge from the Reading

 <Desc / Clms Page number 2>

   of the description which follows, given here by way of a purely limiting example, with reference to the appended drawings among which: - Figure 1 is a first view in perspective of an oven in accordance with the invention; - Figure 2 is a cross-sectional view of the furnace of Figure 1.

   In the figures, the reference 10 designates as a whole an oven according to the invention, constituted by an outer casing 11 fitted inside a muffle 12.

   The front part of the envelope 11 is provided with two gates 13 and 14, each having a high-resistance window 15; these gates make it possible to hermetically seal and thermally insulate from the outside two compartments designated respectively by references 16 and 17, the oven 10 being divided by a thermally insulating separation element 18.

   In the upper part of the oven 10, a plan 19 has been provided, which may be almost a cooking surface, on the other hand, control buttons designated by the reference 20.

   It can therefore be seen that, inside the same muffle 12, it was possible to provide two compartments, completely separate from one another and of dimensions naturally reduced compared to those of a single compartment oven.

   In addition, as shown by way of example in the figures, it is possible to provide for each of these compartments heating means of different nature. For this purpose, there is shown in the upper compartment of gas burners 21 and 22, while in the lower compartment 17 there has been provided an electrical resistance 23 and a ventilation device 24. This example therefore shows a compartment equipped with gas heating means and a compartment equipped with electric heating means.

 <Desc / Clms Page number 3>

   It goes without saying that, still according to the invention, other solutions can be adopted both for the production of the heating means, and for their arrangement in each of the compartments. Thus, as an alternative to the gas burners 21 and 22, it is possible to envisage a microwave device, it being understood that such a microwave device could also be substituted for the electric resistance 23 and the fan 24 Consequently, with the two examples which we have just mentioned, one obtains respectively a compartment equipped with a provision
 EMI3.1
 microwave oven associated with a compartment fitted with an electrical resistance and a compartment fitted with gas burners combined with a compartment fitted with a microwave device.

   It will be noted that the arrangement of the heating means is variable at the discretion of the manufacturer, The invention being in no way binding in this respect.

   Similarly, in another exemplary embodiment cited again by way of example, it is possible to provide two compartments equipped with heating means of the same type.

   The present invention therefore realizes a type of multifunction oven which, while having limited dimensions compared to normal ovens, allows above all energy savings and then greater flexibility of use thanks to the possibility of obtaining in a single structure one or two types of heating means capable of being arranged in separate compartments.
