Abstract

The prefab wall construction system, consists of a pair of panels (1,2), each equipped with inner reinforcing elements (3,4) along at least one edge, shaped so that the reinforcement on the surface of one panel engages with that of the opposite panel. The reinforcing elements on each panel have lengthwise rods connecting them, and when the two panels are erected on a prefab base (12), the reinforcing elements are joined together by couplings (9) and clips (8) which fix the panels together rigidly. The space between the panels can be used for ventilation or for filling with an insulating material.

 EMI1.1

 <Desc/Clms Page number 2>

 <Desc/Clms Page number 3>

 <Desc/Clms Page number 4>

 <Desc/Clms Page number 5>

 <Desc/Clms Page number 6>

  Reinforced construction panel to be assembled on site and mounting method The present invention relates to the field of building construction. Apart from traditional building elements, prefabricated building blocks and panels are also commonly used. Due to their dimensions, panels of this kind are generally difficult to handle.

  The object of the invention is to provide a construction panel which can be assembled on site.

  The invention also relates to a simple and practical mounting method for assembling panels according to the invention, this method allowing easy and rapid assembly in the most remote regions without requiring specialized labor or '' expensive handling equipment.

  These objectives are achieved by means of a construction panel comprising two parallel plates spaced apart from one another, each plate carrying on its inner face at least one frame extending along

 <Desc / Clms Page number 2>

 at least one edge of the plate, the reinforcements being arranged in such a way that each reinforcement of a plate has female coupling elements suitable for receiving male coupling elements of a reinforcement of the other plate. Each frame is for example made up of anchor elements in a plate, these elements possibly being joined by a connecting element. Fastening members securely attach to each other coupling elements associated with two frames.

  The opposite sides of each plate have complementary profiles so that the profiles of the corresponding dimensions of the two panels of the panel can receive by embossing the profiles of the cooperating sides of the plates of another panel.

  . FIG. 1 shows, seen from a side, an exemplary mode of execution of the two plates constituting a panel according to the invention.

    . FIG. 2 shows, seen from a side, the panel produced by assembling the plates shown in FIG. 1.

  . Figures 3, 4 and 5 show the assembly and anchoring of two panels according to the invention juxtaposed.

  . FIG. 6 is a side elevation view of the two plates shown in FIG. 1.

  . FIG. 7 illustrates the mounting, assembly and anchoring of panels according to the invention, vertically superimposed.

  Figures 1 and 2 show the components of a panel according to the invention. The panel comprises two parallel plates 1,2. The exterior faces

 <Desc / Clms Page number 3>

 plates form the internal and external faces of the panel; these faces can receive any finish. On the inner face of each of the plates 1 and 2 are anchored one or more reinforcements extending longitudinally along each of two opposite sides of the plate. Plate 1 carries armatures 3, plate 2 carries armatures 4.

  In the exemplary embodiment illustrated, each frame consists of steel wire elements projecting from the face of the plate at regular intervals (see FIG. 6). The ends of the reinforcing elements are connected and held by longitudinal steel wires 31, 41.

  Whatever the embodiment of the reinforcements, they are designed so that the reinforcement (s) of one plate have male coupling elements while the reinforcement (s) of the other plate have coupling elements female, the female coupling elements being adapted to receive male coupling elements from a frame of the other plate. Figure 2 shows the assembly of plates 1 and 2 shown in Figure 1.

  It can be seen that when the plates 1 and 2 are assembled, the male coupling elements integral with the plate 2 are housed in the female coupling elements 3 integral with the plate 1.

  The mounting of the panel on site will be described later, but it will be emphasized that the two plates 1 and 2 constituting a panel are secured by means of at least one fastening member which can be distinguished at 8 in FIG. 7.

 <Desc / Clms Page number 4>

  The opposite sides of the plates 1 and 2 are profiled in a complementary manner; the plate 1 for example has on one side an edge 5 recessed on its inner face and on the other side, it has an edge 6 recessed on its outer face. Plate 2 similarly has edges 5 and 6 with profiles
 EMI4.1
 complementary. The assembly of two panels side-by-side is very easily done by simple swelling of the edges & complementary profiles 5 and 6 of the two panels. Figure 3 shows the cooperating edges of two adjacent panels 10-10. The edges 5 and 6 are observed opposite each other and FIG. 4 shows the two panels assembled by lateral flange.

  At their upper edge, two adjacent panels can be anchored to each other by means of a stirrup 11 as shown in FIG. 5. The branches of the stirrup 11 are introduced into openings 7 provided in the plates 1 and 2.

  The mounting of the panels according to the invention is now described with reference to Figures 6 and 7. The plates 1 and 2 of a panel as described above are adapted by their lower edge on a base beam 12 having edges profiles to receive the edges 5 of the plates 1 and 2. The plates being put in place by simple embossing of the lower edges and simple embolishment of the male coupling elements 4 of the plate 2 in the female coupling elements 3 of the plate 1 , connecting members 8 are placed to link together corresponding coupling elements 3 and 4 as illustrated in FIG. 7. The procedure is similar in

 <Desc / Clms Page number 5>

 successively mounting and assembling the plates 1 and 2 of each adjacent panel.

   This can be located in alignment with the previous panel or between located in a plane forming an angle with the
 EMI5.1
 previous panel.

  The great advantage of the construction panel according to the invention is that it can easily be assembled on the meine site, which makes the assembly of these panels simple, quick and inexpensive. When panels are thus mounted on a base beam, they are anchored by simply pouring between the plates 1 and 2, a dose of concrete 14 on the base beam 12 (see Figure 7).

  Panels can be mounted similarly in vertical juxtaposition. To ensure the vertical connection, tubes 9 are threaded into the vertical openings 7 of the plates 1 and 2, these tubes having a length such that each tube protrudes from the lower panel so that its upper end can engage in an opening 7 of a top panel plate. FIG. 7 shows tubes 9 placed in the openings 7 of the plates of two panels 10 juxtaposed vertically to form a wall or a wall of any building.

  The tubes 9 are advantageously hollow tubes. Their upper end can then receive the branches of an upper anchoring stirrup 11 to anchor adjacent panels between them (see FIG. 5). Advantageously, the anchoring stirrups 11 can also be used to fix the frame of a roof.

  As can be seen, the construction panel according to

 <Desc / Clms Page number 6>

 the invention has the unprecedented advantage of being able to be assembled on the site itself, quickly and easily without requiring specialized labor or powerful, bulky and expensive handling equipment. The transport of panels according to the invention is thus facilitated and made incomparably economical since it is reduced to the transport of plates in compact and space-saving batches.

  Another advantage of the building panel according to the invention is that its interior volume can be used to provide effective ventilation of the walls of a building. Of course, an insulating material can also be placed in the space between the plates of the panels.
