Abstract

The casing of a roller shutter consists at least partially of box- type slats (12) which are fitted at the top and at the bottom with longitudinal slots (32, 34), are made of extruded aluminium and are interconnected by connecting rods (14) which engage in the slots displaceably and in a hooking manner and are essentially of C-shaped cross-section. The connecting rods (14) consist of transparent plastic. Ventilation openings (48) are arranged in the inner side walls (24) of the box-type slats (12) in such a way that they communicate with the top and/or bottom slots (32, 34) of the slats (12).
