Abstract
The known methods for homogenising the field distribution in a cooking space heated by microwaves, such as rotating antennas, rotating plates and wave stirrers, are relatively expensive. The characteristic impedance is periodically changed by means of a rotating element (5) arranged in the waveguide (3) between the magnetron (1) and the injection aperture (6) into the cooking space (2).
