Abstract
The reactor has a conically upward-widening diffuser (2), which together with a cylindrical duct (4) and a concentrator (5), forms a Venturi nozzle inlet for the process gases. Between the duct and the diffusor wall (3), an annular base edge zone (6) has evenly distributed base-openings (10,10') concentric with the cylindrical duct for auxiliary gas flow (H) to enter through. Some of the base-openings at least have nozzles (9) for the auxiliary gas flow jets. An outlet for coarse ash (11) is positioned above the base edge zone in the bottom part of the diffuser.
