Abstract

A control system for at least one printing unit, comprising a damping and inking unit, of an offset sheet printing press is described, the forme damping roller (4) being pre-damped without contacting the plate cylinder (7) or the forme inking rollers (1), after which the pre-damped forme damping roller (4), which is still in contact with the dipping roller (5), is engaged on the plate cylinder (7) which is thus pre-damped without moisture being transferred to the forme inking rollers (1), after which the forme inking rollers (1) are engaged on the plate cylinder (7) which is thus pre-damped and pre-inked, after which the printing begins.
