a sheet metal screw is attached (Fig. 1), which conveys the mixture that has accumulated in housing A into drum B while the pin hollow shaft D is rotating. The whole apparatus is inclined by about 300. The rotation of the drum B takes place by means of a worm drive, which is located on the inclined part
EMI2.1
Worm drives and the associated back gear are not noted in the drawing on sheet 1.
Operation of the device:
The mixture, an almost viscous mass, introduced through the lateral pipe socket attached to the housing A (the same is covered by the housing A in FIG. 1) and in the direction of the arrow 3 (FIG. 2), is fed into the rotating sheet metal screw G into the Drum B is conveyed. Due to the rotation and the inclination of the drum B, the mixture tends to flow towards the ribs F. Since the arrangement of the ribs F is eccentric and therefore each rib F runs on one side with the drum wall in one plane (Fig. 1 and 3), furthermore, due to the rotation of the drum B this plane comes to stand down at each rib F, this can Mixture flow from one rib F to another and thus wander through the entire rib system of drum B.
This is enhanced by the inclination of the drum B. The tubular pins E circling between the ribs F, at the ends of which preheated air flows out, now mix the mixture, which is located between the ribs F of the drum B and which is heading towards the end connector C, with warm air. This process creates a large surface area for the mixture, and the air required to evaporate the water contained in the mixture is supplied to the same in sufficient quantities. When the mixture has reached the end connection C, it will have changed from the viscous form to a dry, powdery form, that is to say can be collected in the container H as a finished product.
