Description
<Desc/Clms Page number 1>

Process for the production of ready-made wadding.
According to the parent patent, ready-made cotton wool is produced in such a way that cellulose fleece covering pure fleece or mixed with known additives is calendered under slight pressure. The subject matter of the present invention relates to an embodiment of this method and consists essentially in the fact that the cellulose fleece does not directly cover the pure cotton wool or the fleece mixed with known additives, but rather a layer of hydrophilic cotton wool lies between the cellulose and cotton wool fleece. As a result, the wadding and cellulose adhere better to one another, in that the hydrophilic wadding has a surface structure which, on the one hand, promotes adherence to the wadding and, on the other hand, encourages the cellulose fleece to adhere to it.
This has the advantage that when the ready-made wadding is manipulated, the cellulose fleece can no longer be detached from the wadding, and this ready-made wadding is processed without any particular care.
