Process for the production of ready-made wadding.

It is known to use cotton wool for ready-to-wear purposes, in particular as filling material. The previous production of these ready-made wadding, which may have been glued over with paper, took place in such a way that the wadding fleeces were glued or calendered under strong pressure in order to give the structure of the fabric formed by superimposed layers the strength that the ready-made fabric should and should be used for requires itself because of the necessary processing and preparation. This production method had the disadvantage that the ready-made wadding had a considerable weight in relation to its surface area and, moreover, the production method had a considerable weight
Cost was involved.

The subject matter of the invention is intended to remedy these disadvantages, in a simple manner by covering the top sides (the outermost layers) of the uniform layers of cotton wool used for the same purpose or mixed with filler with a cellulose fleece and calendering them under slight pressure .

This gives a wadding ready-made fabric, the one that comes into consideration here
Permits processing and preparation in a favorable manner, in that the covering cellulose nonwovens, in particular, ensure the stitching to be performed, the safety of the needle guide and in particular also an internal defibration of the cotton fabric by the performed
Cellulose cover is prevented.

In the drawing, a ready-made cotton wool fabric produced according to the present method is illustrated, namely FIG. 1 shows a cross section, FIG. 2 shows a plan view of the same. a refers to the wadding, which can be used pure or mixed with the known additives, jute, cellulose, etc.; b denotes the covering and calendered cellulose fleece and c the stitching. The ready-made wadding produced in this way, which in its appearance is almost the same as a glued or calendered wadding, has the advantages mentioned at the outset and therefore meets all the requirements that are made of ready-made wadding.
