Verfahren zur Herstellung von Gerbstoffextrakt aus Sulfitzelluloseabfallauge.
Alle Gerbstoffextraktrakte, die bisher aus Zelluloseabfallaugen gemäss verschiedener patentierter Verfahren hergestellt werden, besitzen in gleicher Weise die Eigenschaft, dass mit diesen für sich allein gegerbtes Leder mehr oder weniger dunkel, hart, spröde oder in anderer Weise minderwertig ausfällt.
Die Erfindung betrifft ein Verfahren zur Herstellung eines Gerbstoffextraktes aus Sulfitablauge, der beim Gerben ein helles und zähes Leder mit grosser Widerstandskraft gegen Zerreissen gibt.
Dies wird dadurch erreicht, dass dem in bekannter Weise aus den genannten Laugen hergestellten Gerbstoffextrakt eine geeignete Menge fester Seife und gegebenenfalls in bekannter Weise auch eine oder mehrere Säuren beigemischt werden. Der Zusatz von Säure darf indessen nicht so gross sein, dass aus der Seife die Fettsäuren ausgefällt werden, welche sich dann auf der Oberfläche des Extraktes abscheiden würden. Durchschnittlich setzt man zu 100 Gewichtsteilen Extrakt etwa 5 Teile Seife und 3 Teile Säure.

All tanning extracts that have been produced from cellulose waste eyes according to various patented processes have the same property that leather tanned on its own with them turns out to be more or less dark, hard, brittle or otherwise inferior.
The invention relates to a process for the production of a tanning agent extract from sulphite waste liquor which, during tanning, gives a light-colored and tough leather with great resistance to tearing.
This is achieved by adding a suitable amount of solid soap and optionally also one or more acids in a known manner to the tanning agent extract prepared in a known manner from the lyes mentioned. The addition of acid, however, must not be so great that the fatty acids are precipitated out of the soap, which would then be deposited on the surface of the extract. On average, about 5 parts soap and 3 parts acid are added to 100 parts by weight of extract.
