  Verfahren zur Herstellung eines Riemenadhäsionsmittels.

Riemenadhäsionspräparate enthalten meist Öle. Fette, Glycerin, Mineralöl, Vaselin, Talg, Tran, Ceresin und Paraffin als Konservierungsmittel, mit einem Zusatz an klebenden Bestandteilen, z. B. Harzen (Kolophonium).

Method of making a belt adhesive.

Belt adhesion preparations usually contain oils. Fats, glycerin, mineral oil, vaseline, tallow, oil, ceresin and paraffin as preservatives, with an addition of adhesive ingredients, e.g. B. Resins (colophony). Many regulations require that the straps have to be hung up for several days after being greased.

Mineral oils are also discarded because they do not contain water, although tanned leather must contain a certain percentage of moisture. One therefore looked for the oils respectively. to add the vaseline in an aqueous emulsion, which, however, affects the toughness of the product.

It was therefore of the opinion that only pure fats, the triglycerides of fatty acids, should be used as preservatives, since free acids destroy the leather.

It has now been found that belt adhesion preparations can be produced from tar asphalt by treatment with certain oils. which work on without interruption

call and do not damage the leather even after prolonged use. The brittleness of the asphalt is eliminated by the presence of the mineral oil. It can contain water

The present new method offers the further advantage. to use a material

To produce such a preparation z. B. 50 go kg highly viscous machine waste. Höt (Minerat or Teerö!) Is heated in a stirrer with 250 kg generator tar asphalt under atmospheric pressure for one hour to about 70 ° C, whereupon the heating product is poured into bars.
