   In der österr. Patentschrift Nr. 82847 ist ein Verfahren zur Herstellung plastischer Massen aus Kasein beschrieben, nach welchem mit Wasser angefeuchtetes, pulverförmiges Kasein auf angewärmte Walzen gebracht, gleichzeitig mit Farb-und Füllstoffen innig gemischt, homogenisiert und vom überflüssigen und schädlichen Wassergehalt befreit wird. 



   Gegenstand der vorliegenden Erfindung bildet eine weitere Ausbildung dieses Verfahrens für die Zwecke der Herstellung glatter, zusammenhängender Platten. Um mit dem älteren, vorerwähnten Verfahren solche Platten zu erzeugen, wird die Temperatur einer Walze erheblich höher gehalten als jene der anderen, wodurch die Masse veranlasst wird, nur die wärmere Walze glatt und lückenlos zu bedecken und sodann von dieser Walze mit Zuhilfenahme eines Schabemessers. abgezogen werden kann.
