GHanzgebendes und glanzerhaltendes Mittel.
Die Erfindung betrifft ein Mittel zur Erzeugung und zum Bewahren von Glanz von mit Farblaekanstrichen versehenen Gegenständen, wie z. B. von Autokarosserien, ebenso von Möbeln, Gemälden und von ähnlichen Gegenständen.
Das Mittel enthält nach der Erfindung im wesentlichen folgende Bestandteile : Kollodium, Wachs, Nitrobenzol und Petroleum und hat hauptsächlich die Aufgabe, die Oberfläche des Farblackes usw. gegen den ätzenden Einfluss der Säureablagerungen, welche sich darauf nach dem Vertrocknen der Regentropfen oder sonstigen Feuchtigkeitsniederschläge bilden, zu schützen oder, soweit sie sich schon gebildet haben, diese Einwirkungen zu beseitigen.
Bisher war die innige Mischung von Petroleum und Kollodium nicht möglich. Es wurde gefunden, dass aber diese innige Mischung von Petroleum und Kollodium sehr wesentlich für die Herstellung eines glanzgebenden und glanzbewahrenden Mittels ist, das in an sich bekannter Weise Wachs und Kollodium enthält, denn erst diese innige Mischung der genannten beiden Bestandteile gibt dem Mittel die oben angegebene Eigenschaft.
Noch leichter geht die innige Mischung von Petroleum und Kollodium vor sich, wenn man dem Petroleum vor dem Mischen mit dem mit Nitrobenzol versetzten Kollodium Aceton zusetzt.
Dieses Ergebnis kann erfindungsgemäss nur durch Zugabe von Petroleum bei inniger Mischung zu Kollodium und Wachs erhalten werden, indem man Nitrobenzol zu dem Kollodium zufügt, bevor das Petroleum hinzugegeben wird.
Beispiel : Man mischt der Reihe nach bei der Schmelztemperatur des Wachses
1. Lösung von Nitrobenzol 65 g, Aceton 10 g, Eingiessen von Kollodium 20 g, Auflösenlassen.
2. Schmelzenlassen von Wachs 40 g, Mischen der unter 1. angegebenen Lösung mit dem ge- schmolzenen Wachs nach 2.
3. Zu Petroleum 30 g füge man Aceton 3 g.
4. Eingiessen der unter 3. angegebenen Lösung in die Mischung nach 1. mit dem geschmolzenen Wachs und Gerinnenlassen.
Die oben angegebenen Mengenzahlen dienen nur als Ausführungsbeispiel. Sie können sich je nach den Umständen und dem Verwendungszwecke ändern.

According to the invention, the agent essentially contains the following components: collodion, wax, nitrobenzene and petroleum and its main task is to protect the surface of the colored varnish, etc. against the corrosive influence of the acid deposits that form on it after the raindrops or other moisture deposits have dried up, to protect or, as far as they have already formed, to eliminate these effects.
Up to now the intimate mixture of petroleum and collodion has not been possible. It has been found, however, that this intimate mixture of petroleum and collodion is very essential for the production of a gloss-giving and gloss-preserving agent which contains wax and collodion in a manner known per se, because only this intimate mixture of the two components mentioned gives the agent the above specified property.
The intimate mixture of petroleum and collodion is even easier if acetone is added to the petroleum before it is mixed with the collodion mixed with nitrobenzene.
According to the invention, this result can only be obtained by adding petroleum with an intimate mixture to the collodion and wax, by adding nitrobenzene to the collodion before the petroleum is added.
Example: Mix one after the other at the melting temperature of the wax
1. Solution of nitrobenzene 65 g, acetone 10 g, pouring in collodion 20 g, allowing to dissolve.
2. Let the wax melt 40 g, mix the solution given under 1. with the melted wax according to 2.
3. Add acetone 3 g to petroleum 30 g.
4. Pour the solution specified under 3. into the mixture according to 1. with the melted wax and allow it to coagulate.
The quantities given above serve only as an exemplary embodiment. They can change depending on the circumstances and purposes of use.
