  Vorrichtung zum Waschen, Weichen und Ankeimen von Gerste. 



   Den Gegenstand der vorliegenden Erfindung bildet ein rotierender Apparat zum Waschen, Weichen und Ankeimen der Gerste bei der Malzfabrikation, welcher sich von den bekannten theilweise in einem Wasserbehälter untertauchenden Vorrichtungen dieser Art durch die   cigenthümiiche   trichterförmige Gestaltung der Stirnwände der Siebtrommel unterscheidet. Bei den bisherigen Vorrichtungen zeigte sich   der Fbcistand,   dass sich ein Theil des Getreides in der Nähe der   Stirnwände festsetzte   und bei der Rotation der Siebtrommel nicht   aufgerührt   wurde und daher auch keine Lüftung und Keimung erfuhr.    Die beiliegende Zeichnung zeigt den Erfindungsgegenstand in Fig. 1 im Längsschnitt und in Fig, 2 im Querschnitte. 



   Die die Vorrichtung bildende, in bekannter Weise zur Aufnahme dos Keimgutes dienende und zum Theil in einem Wasserbehälter untertauchende, langsam rotierende Siebtrommel a kann durch die Öffnung c mit dem Getreide angefüllt worden, das man bis auf etwa zwei Drittel des Inhaltes aufschüttet und welches bei   d   abgelassen werden kann. Die Stirnwände b der Trommel sind bei y trichterförmig abgestumpft. Dadurch wird bewirkt, dass bei der, beispielsweise durch ein Vorgelege   A'verursachten langsamen   Rotation der Trommel um die Achse t die aus dem Wasser gehobenen Körner leicht an den Wandungen abrutschen können und nicht in der Nähe der Stirnwände liegen bleiben. Ebenso wird durch diese Construction auch das Entleeren der Trommel erleichtert.

   Der Wasserbehälter,/', in welchen die Siebtrommel eintaucht, besitzt eine der Öffnung d entsprechende, wie jene,   verschliessbare   Öffnung q zum Entleeren des Getreides und ist ferner in bekannter Weise mit Zu- und Abflussöffnungen versehen.

   The subject of the present invention is a rotating apparatus for washing, soaking and germinating the barley during malt production, which differs from the known devices of this type, which are partially submerged in a water tank, by the characteristic funnel-shaped design of the end walls of the sieve drum.
