Device for reversing the direction of flow in centrifugal pumps without reversing the direction of rotation.
The invention relates to a device for reversing the direction of flow in centrifugal pumps without reversing the direction of rotation. It consists of a change of direction. direction, which is arranged in front of the simple impeller and the suction chamber and pressure
EMI1.1
In Fig. 1 view and section of the pump is shown. Fig. 2 is a longitudinal. section and Figs. 3, 4 and 5 represent a mechanical switching device.
The pump works as follows:
In the position of the channel slide a in FIG. 2, the liquid flow takes place in the direction of the arrow, so dd. So in this case ss is the suction port and c is the pressure port. The liquid enters the impeller e through the suction port b and channel il of the rotary valve a, receives its energy here and collects in the pressure housing /.
This runs out into an annular channel g. which is connected in a suitable manner through the channel h of the slide (t to the nozzle c, i.e. in this case the pressure nozzle.
If the rotary valve a is now switched by 180, the channel cl is connected to the connector c and channel h to the connector b. In this case, c is the suction port and b is the pressure port. The duct slide a is switched over by turning lever i by 1801,
A mechanical switchover in certain time segments is shown in FIGS. 3, 4 and 5. Instead of the lever @, the rotary slide pin k is rigidly connected to a ratchet wheel l. The pawl m for actuating the ratchet wheel l is on. attached to a 1 \ ipp lever. This sits loosely rotatable on the shaft o, with which a drive plate is also firmly connected. The shaft o receives a certain number of revolutions, which corresponds to the switching time.
The drive can come from a transmission or by a machine
