So würde

Prozentgehalt.

  Verwendung finden.

Salts transferred and put in paste form. Multiple effects are achieved through this process. Not only is the explosibility of the polynitro compound extremely reduced and even completely eliminated by this process, but a further essential effect is also achieved: the cresols or their salts are known to already have antizymotic and preservative effects themselves. The impregnation of wood with tar phenols and tar oils is partly based on this, as is well known.

However, this type of impregnation cannot be used for timber, etc., because in view of the relatively low antizymotic power of these bodies, excessively high concentrations of the impregnation liquid are required, which would result in a permanent odor adhering to the wood. So would

Percentage. By combining both body groups it is now possible, on the one hand, to increase the antizymotic power of the phenols so that only a small amount of these strongly smelling bodies need to be used, on the other hand, the presence of these phenols means that the polynitro compounds are deprived of their explosiveness.

The aforementioned process can be used for all nitro bodies or nitrosulfonic acids, etc.

  Find use.
