Machine for cleaning drinking vessels.
The present invention relates to a machine for cleaning drinking vessels by means of movable brushes, to which fresh rinsing water is supplied in accordance with the brush movement and only in the amount that is actually necessary for cleaning the vessels.
In the drawing, FIG. 1 shows the machine in longitudinal section, FIG. 2 shows a plan view and FIG. 3 shows a side view of the machine.
The machine consists of the lower part a, in which the conical wheels b and c are mounted (Fig. 1). The conical wheel b, designed as a thumb disk, carries the thumbs e and f, by means of which the resilient brushes j guided in the stands g, which are screwed onto the lower part a, are lifted and the rinsing water shut-off valve A is opened. The guides k of the resilient brushes j are provided with spiral springs I which, in conjunction with the thumbs e, cause the resilient brushes j to move up and down. In the axis of the conical wheel b, a brush m is fixedly arranged on this; the wheel b receives a rotating movement in a known manner by the handwheel n on the shaft o and the drive wheel c.
The described machine works as follows: The vessel to be cleaned is placed on the brush sel and held in place by the resilient brushes j. By turning the handwheel n, the brush m is set in a rotating motion. The rotating movement is simultaneously received by the bevel gear b, which is designed as a thumb disk and which raises and lowers the resilient brushes j through the thumbs e and the spiral springs l.
Simultaneously with the raising and lowering of the resilient brushes, the Spütwassorabsperrventil h is opened by the thumb l of the conical wheel b, but then closed again by water or spring pressure, whereby only the absolutely necessary amount of water for cleaning the vessels during the Bürsteaarbeit is fed to the brushes.
