Verfahren zur Herstellung von Glasmosaiken auf Holz oder dgl.
Bei Glasmosaiken auf Holz lösten sich heim Verziehen oder Werfen des Holzes die einzelnen Mosaikteile los, zersplitterten oder fielen heraus. Vorliegende Erfindung soll diesem Übelstande abhelfen und dies geschieht durch Anwendung von zwischengelegtem Leder oder ähnlichen Stoffen.
Auf die Holzteile, etwa Türen oder Verkleidungen von Schränken, Schreibtischen oder dgl. wird dünnes Leder oder ähnliche Stoffe mittels Büffelleinen oder dgl. befestigt. Auf dieses Leder hinwiederum werden die einzelnen Giasstücke 111 ihrer mosaikarllgen Zusammenstellung ebenfalls aufgeleimt. Um eine glatte Stossfuge zwischen den einzelnen Mosaikteilen zu erhalten, wird der Leim mit Schlämmkreide im Verhältnis 1 zu 3 vermischt oder es werden ähnliche Klebstoffe genommen. Verzieht sich nun das Holz, so wird sich ùle unterste Schicht des Leders der Bewegung des Holzes anschliessen, d. 11. das Leder wird an seiner auf dem Holz befindlichen Seite reissen oder sich recken.
Die auf die obere Schicht aufgeklebten Gl;asteile jedoch bleid\ben unabhängig davon auf dieser ganzen Schicht unverändert in ihrer Stellung, so dass eine Zerstörung des Mosalks nicht eintritt. Zu den Mosaiken können natürlich jede Art bunter Gla-Stücke Verwendung finden, die aus ganzen Scheiben oder Abfällen hergestellt sein können.

In the case of glass mosaics on wood, the individual mosaic parts loosened, splintered or fell out when the wood was warped or thrown. The present invention is intended to remedy this drawback and this is done by using leather or similar materials in between.
