 EMI1.1

It is already in addition to the usual block gluing process for the production of plywood middle layers, in which the gluing of the individual wood layers of the block through over the whole
 EMI1.2
Expansion, but only provided with adhesive at intervals, thus connecting the boards directly to one another in places, i.e. without the intermediate layer of binding agent carriers. The adhesive is applied to the layers in strips. The strips can run at any angle to the fiber alignment of the layers at approximately equal distances from one another. However, the adhesive can also be applied to the layers in dots or as circles.

Rollers are used in the glue application machine to apply the adhesive in the desired manner. which are provided with corresponding protrusions.

The advantages of this method over the known method are as follows: The strips of fabric that were previously used as a binder carrier are no longer necessary, and the glue is applied to the lagan directly, but only in places, as in the usual method. The method can therefore be carried out more easily than the known method. When dividing the block, the saw has to overcome less resistance than with the known method, in which the glue, which is sucked up in a considerable amount by the strips of fabric, opposes the sawing to a fairly large amount of resistance after hardening.

In FIGS. 1-4 of the drawing, the glue application roller 2 which is preferably used is shown in a view. It rotates with its pin 1 in a trough from which it scoops the adhesive. It is provided with ribs 3, 4, 5, which run like the threads of a single, double or three-thread screw. The ribs create parallel, parallel lines on the board moving through the glue application machine.
