   Die Erfindung betrifft eine Masse, die in dünner Schichte auf den Riemscheibenkranz aufgetragen wird, um das Gleiten des Riemens auf der Riemscheibe zu verhindern. 



   Die Masse besteht aus einem Gemenge von 1 Gewichtsteil gemahlenem Bimsstein, 1   Gewichtsteil Federweiss, 1'7   Gewichtsteilen gelöstem Wasserglas und   1/00   Gewichtsteil gelöster Gelatine. Durch kräftiges Durchrühren dieser Mischung wird die Masse gebildet, die dann (durch Nachtblau oder dgl.) gefärbt werden kann. 



   Durch den gemahlenen Bimsstein soll eine rauhe Oberfläche auf der Riemscheibe geschaffen werden, wogegen durch die Beimengung von Federweiss einer zu grossen Schärfe der Oberfläche, durch die der Riemen leicht angegriffen werden könnte, vorgebeugt werden soll. Wasserglas und Gelatine haben den Zweck, eine gute Verbindung der anderen Bestandteile herbeizuführen. 



   Riemscheiben, deren Kränze mit dieser Masse in dünner Schichte bestrichen werden, ziehen den Riemen kräftig durch.
