Eteitschutzmasse für Riemacheiben.
Die Erfindung betrifft eine Masse, die in dünner Schichte auf den Riemscheibenkranz aufgetragen wird, um das Gleiten des Riemens auf der Riemscheibe zu verhindern.
Die Masse besteht aus einem Gemenge von 1 Gewichtsteil gemahlenem Bimsstein, 1 Gewichtsteil Federweiss, 1'7 Gewichtsteilen gelöstem Wasserglas und 1/00 Gewichtsteil gelöster Gelatine. Durch kräftiges Durchrühren dieser Mischung wird die Masse gebildet, die dann (durch Nachtblau oder dgl.) gefärbt werden kann.
Durch den gemahlenen Bimsstein soll eine rauhe Oberfläche auf der Riemscheibe geschaffen werden, wogegen durch die Beimengung von Federweiss einer zu grossen Schärfe der Oberfläche, durch die der Riemen leicht angegriffen werden könnte, vorgebeugt werden soll. Wasserglas und Gelatine haben den Zweck, eine gute Verbindung der anderen Bestandteile herbeizuführen.
Riemscheiben, deren Kränze mit dieser Masse in dünner Schichte bestrichen werden, ziehen den Riemen kräftig durch.

The invention relates to a compound which is applied in a thin layer to the pulley ring in order to prevent the belt from sliding on the pulley.
The mass consists of a mixture of 1 part by weight of ground pumice stone, 1 part by weight of Federweiss, 1'7 parts by weight of dissolved waterglass and 1/00 part by weight of dissolved gelatin. The mass is formed by vigorously stirring this mixture, which can then be colored (with night blue or the like).
The ground pumice stone is intended to create a rough surface on the pulley, while the addition of feather white is intended to prevent the surface from becoming too sharp, which could easily attack the belt. The purpose of water glass and gelatin is to create a good connection between the other ingredients.
Belt pulleys, the rings of which are coated with this compound in a thin layer, pull the belt through vigorously.
