 EMI1.1

 EMI1.1

The present invention relates to a device for snowshoes with strap bindings of any type and has the purpose of eliminating in a simple manner the disadvantage most associated with these types of bindings, namely the lateral slipping of the foot in the binding. This is achieved with the help of a recess in the heel and a projection on the snowshoe, which are arranged in such a way that the part attached to the heel engages in that part of the connection arranged on the running wood as soon as heel and running wood come into contact with one another.

In the drawing, the device is shown in Figure 1 in an overall view; 2 and 3 show the individual parts of the device.

Here, a is the running wood with the protective plate b and d is the boot, which is detachably connected to the running wood by some kind of strap binding e. The boot heel f is provided at the bottom with a suitably fastened fitting g (FIGS. 1 and 2) which has a recess h which, for example, has a roof-shaped cross-section, but can also have any other cross-sectional shape. The paragraph f is provided with a corresponding recess. A correspondingly shaped projection i (e.g. gable-shaped in the drawing), which forms the pin of the detachable connection, is attached to the running wood a in the area of the shoulder groove h.

As soon as the foot rests flat on the wood, groove h and projection i come into engagement with one another, whereby the foot is secured against annoying lateral slipping. In this way, very good guidance of the foot is achieved when walking, descending and swinging.

In addition, this device has the advantage that the protruding stop i prevents the unpleasant attachment of snow to the heel (clumping).
