  Diese Geschwindigkeit ist entsprechend der Umfangsgeschwindigkeit der Antriebsräder berechnet, so dass die Antriebsräder und die Adhäsionsketten gemeinsam die Fortbewegung des Zugwagens bewirken. Da die Adhäsion hiebei nicht eine unmittelbare Funktion des Wagengewichtes ist, kann der Wagen gleichzeitig sehr leicht gebaut sein und trotzdem eine gute Zugwirkung haben, so dass eine sehr vorteilhafte Bedingung zum Fahren auf Feldern erzielt ist.

Motorzugwagen, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass   bei demselben die Fortbewegung sowohl durch   Räder allein, als auch durch   Räder im Verein mit endlosen Schaufelketten bewirkt wird,   um   entweder eine relativ schnellere Fortbewegung oder eine grosse Adhäsion zu erzielen.
