  Flaschenverschluss.

  Bottle cap.

There are already bottle closures in which a sealing washer and a cork are arranged on the underside of a hard stopper head. In these closures, a nut thread is cut into the cork body to accommodate the pin of the plug head. As a result, the cork body is usually so damaged as it is screwed on that it separates from the spindle when the closure is opened and remains stuck in the bottle neck.

There are also known closures in which the cork is held on a stem by its own nut. In these closures, however, the double seal on the bottle neck is missing, which is why these closures do not hold reliably tight; here, too, were closures without a hard stopper.

The subject of the invention is a bottle closure, in which a sealing washer and a cork body are placed on the smooth part of the spigot of a plug head made of hard material and are held in place by a screw nut. The closure according to the invention thus meets all the requirements with regard to tightness and reliable fastening of the cork body.

The drawing shows an exemplary embodiment of the invention. Fig. 1 of the drawing shows the plug according to the invention in cross section and Fig. 2 in view. Fig. 3 shows the closure of the bottle in view.

The metal or hard wood plug head a has a recess on the underside into which a sealing washer b made of cork or other suitable material is inserted, which rests on the bottle neck mouth c. A short rod d extends downward from the center of the underside of the bottle head.

A cork e that fits into the bottle neck opening is pushed onto the same and is held in place by means of the screw nut g, which is screwed onto the end of the rod d. The shape of the screw nut 9 is adapted to the shape of the cork e. The stopper head is penetrated by the wire j, by means of which the bottle closure is produced in the usual way.
