Dementsprechend zeigt, auch die Beschickung in dem Hochofen eine scharf von einander getrennte Zusammensetzung, derart. dass auf der einen Seite lauter grosse Stücke, auf der anderen nur die feineren Stücke sich vorfinden.
Hierdurch wird der Betrieb des Hochofens unregelmässig. Man hat diese bekannte Erscheinung schon zu bekämpfen versucht und zwar dadurch, dass man den Trichter auf dem Hochofenkopf, in welchen sich die Gichtwagen entleeren, drehbar macht. derart, dass das Schütt-
