Board flooring and process for its manufacture.

The subject of the present invention is a floor composed of individual boards and a method for its production. The floor is extremely resistant and durable and can be laid in a short time without the need for laborious work in the room. The essence of the invention lies in the fact that two layers, each consisting of parallel boards, are placed one on top of the other on a board-shaped base made of blind wood located at a short distance from one another and the boards of one are arranged perpendicular to the boards of the other layer, glued together and with the blind bottom are connected, which panels are then to be laid next to one another in the finished state on upholstered timber and to be held in a suitable manner.
 EMI1.1
   Scale.

The panels consist of a sub-floor, the timbers 1 of which protrude several millimeters from each other and on which two layers each consisting of parallel boards 2, 3 are fastened in a suitable manner. The upper boards 3, however, are arranged perpendicular to the lower 2.

The boards lying next to each other are mutually connected by means of a tongue 4 and groove, and those lying on top of each other are glued. The surface of the board is processed accordingly so that it has all the properties that are required of a floor surface. So that there are no joints when the panels are joined together, they are planed in a straight line at the sides. The two outer blind wood are with spring 6, respectively. Provided groove, which serve as a connecting means of the panels themselves. Advantageously, the sub-floor is soaked in some liquid disinfectant and, for the sake of easier absorption, the lower surface and the side surfaces of the wood 1 are left unplaned, that is to say in their original, rough state.

The panels produced in the appropriate size and number are brought in the finished state into the room in which the floor is to be laid and arranged next to one another on upholstered wood 5 so that the tongue 6 of one panel engages in the groove of the adjoining panel. It is attached to the base by means of nails driven obliquely through the edges into the upholstery wood.
