Knallkork.

Crackling cork.
The present invention relates to an improvement of the so-called pop corks used for play purposes. These are inserted into the barrel of pistols, in which a pin snaps forward and then hits the ignition mirror, whereby the cork or the like is driven out. The ignition mass is now extraordinarily explosive and the way in which the ignition mirror was previously attached in the cork has often given rise to accidents through explosions, so that such corks are not allowed to be sent by post because of their dangerousness are only permitted on the track under certain strict conditions.
The present invention now eliminates the dangerousness of such corks, both with regard to the insertion of the same as the shipping, and this is achieved in that the ignition mirror is made of cardboard and is sunk in the cork. As a result, he is completely protected and can, for. B. not come into contact with other bodies when shipping.
The subject matter of the present invention is explained in more detail on the drawing in an exemplary embodiment. Fig. 1 is an axial section through cork and running end, Fig. 2 is a side view of a cork, while Fig. 3 is a plan view.
The cork a has any suitable shape which allows it to be attached to the barrel b. To accommodate the ignition mirror, the barrel is provided with a recess c, which runs in the axial direction to about half of the cork. The ignition mirror, which consists of a cardboard sleeve e, in which the ignition material d is located, which is closed off by a suitable cardboard plate f, is now inserted into this recess c. The ignition mirror is thus completely sunk in the cork a and cannot come into contact with other hard bodies which could cause an explosion.
