  Exercise bomb.

The invention aims to produce an aerial bomb with exactly the same ballistic conditions as a live bomb, which, however, in contrast to this,
 EMI1.1

This purpose is achieved in that the wall thickness of the practice bomb, which otherwise corresponds to that of the live bomb, is tapered or notched at one point in such a way that at this point it has to be split into two halves when the bomb is detonated. A weak explosive device with a strong smoke additive is used for this, which indicates the impact of the bomb.

In hand grenades and the like, it is known to provide notches on the wall; However, these are installed in large numbers in order to achieve as many explosives as possible and thus a large explosive effect.

The aim of the invention is to achieve the exact opposite, namely the reduction of the explosive effect in such a way that the training bomb only disintegrates in two halves.

   The drawings represent two examples.

In Fig. 1, the wall a of the bomb b is provided with a groove at c and filled with a weak explosive charge d, when the bomb is ignited at the point c. is blown up so that it falls into two parts.

Fig. 2 shows another possible embodiment: the wall a of the bomb is kept as thin as possible in the middle. In order to compensate for the resulting reduction in weight, the wall at the tip e and at the end / has been reinforced accordingly, so that here too the bomb will be broken down into two large fragments.
