  Funnels for speaking machines.

The present invention relates to a funnel for speaking machines, the wall of which is provided with wave-shaped bulges and constrictions running transversely to the funnel axis. In the previously known horns of this type, in which the bulges are only provided for reinforcement or decoration, the corrugated front part of the horn is considerably wider than the smooth rear part and does not have a constant over-

of the smooth funnel part in such a way that the sound waves guided through the latter against the annular beads or

Constrictions can collide, as a result of which the clarity and naturalness of the tones reflected by the speaking machine provided with such a bell-shaped horn experience a significant improvement and the sound does not seem to come from the depths but from the mouth of the horn.

In the drawing, three exemplary embodiments of the subject matter of the invention are shown.

The funnel has several waves running transversely to its axis, the curvatures a of which can be directed either outward (upper side of FIG. 1) or inward (lower side of FIG. 1). In the former case the peaks or wave crests are on the inside of the funnel gate wall, in the other case on the outside of the same.

In the embodiment according to FIG. 2, the waves run in a helical line surrounding the funnel. The part of the funnel provided with the waves consists of

Construction also achieved a considerable stiffening of the funnel.

PATENT CLAIMS: l. Funnel for speaking machines, characterized in that a corrugated part of the funnel beginning at the largest diameter of the funnel and consisting of one piece is designed as a continuous continuation and extension of the sound line material which feeds the sound waves to this corrugated part for the purpose of a clinking of the To avoid the funnel and give the impression that the voice does not come from the depths, but from the front of the funnel.
