Die so hergestellten Riemen können mit einem Überzug aus Kautschuk, Leder, Stoff oder dgl. versehen werden, zum Zwecke, einerseits die Adhäsion an den Riemenscheiben zu vergrössern und andererseits das Metall gegen schädliche atmosphärische Einflüsse zu schützen.
Solche Riemen besitzen eine grosse Zugfestigkeit und Dauerhaftigkeit und sind auch bedeutend wohlfeiler als die gebräuchlichen.

1. Aus Metallgewebe oder-geflecht hergestellter Riemen, bestehend aus einem flachpl Hollgewebe oder-geflecht, welches in bekannter Weise mit einem geeigneten Überzug zur Erhöhung der Adhäsion und zum Schütze des Gewebes oder Geflechtes versehen sein kann.
