Description

Dentures and implants used in surgery
It is known to manufacture metallic dentures and implants used in surgery from chromium - cobalt alloys, the 40 to 87, 991o cobalt, 6 to 40% chromium, 6 to 3010 tungsten or
 EMI1.1
contain. Alloys have gained practical importance for this purpose, the composition of which is predominantly 27 to 31% chromium, 4.5 to 6.5% molybdenum, up to 110 manganese and iron, up to ouzo carbon, tungsten and silicon, optionally 0.5 to 41o nickel, aluminum and / or vanadium, the remainder cobalt.

With a high tensile strength of about 90 kp / mm, these known alloys still have a sufficient elongation of about 810 with good compatibility in the human body. Furthermore, an alloy is used for this purpose in a known manner, which in addition to
 EMI1.2
holds. This alloy has some better technological characteristics, but may be somewhat toxic because of its beryllium content. As a rule, the alloys are melted and cast in vacuum or protective gas melting units and the prostheses and implants are manufactured in protective systems in order to achieve greater purity and freedom from gas.

According to the invention, dental prostheses and implants used in surgery are made of alloys containing 5 to 15% chromium, 5 to 15% nickel, 0 to 3% molybdenum, 0 to 110% carbon, silicon, manganese, aluminum and / or iron, 4 to 110/0 titanium and the remainder cobalt.

It has been shown that these alloys containing a relatively large amount of titanium, but either no or only a relatively little molybdenum containing alloys, are particularly suitable for the stated purpose because they surprisingly have excellent elongation values with high tensile strengths at the same time. For example, have the following three alloys, consisting of
