Gegen interkristalline Korrosion sichere austenitische Chromnickelstahllegierung
Austenitic chromium-nickel steel alloy safe against intergranular corrosion
It has been shown that the austenitic
Chromium-nickel steel alloys no longer resistant to attack by chemical agents
lose their metallic sound, become brittle and finally even in
Metal powder disintegrate when they, for. B. when welding individual components together
or when they are used, a heating equivalent to a tempering treatment
about 50o to goo ° C. It is already there to remedy this disadvantage
known for the production of objects from austenitic chromium-nickel steel alloys,
either during their manufacture or in the operation of a tempering treatment
such austenitic chromium-nickel steel alloys are exposed to the same heating
to use that have a carbon content below 0.07% or those with carbon
elements forming a permanent chemical compound, e.g. B. titanium or vanadium,
individually or mixed, included; here in particular the ratio of the carbide former,
z. B. of titanium or vanadium, be dimensioned for carbon so that practical
all the carbon is bound.
Tests have now shown that not only these chemically neutral chromium-nickel steel alloys mentioned above have the advantage that they do not lose their chemical resistance and do not become brittle if they are heated to about 500 to goo ° C during manufacture or in operation, equivalent to a tempering treatment have learned, but that this advantage is also violated chemically neutral chromium-nickel steel alloys that contain niobium or niobium mixed with tantalum. As has been shown, these elements also form such a stable chemical compound with the carbon dissolved in the austenitic base mass that the chemical and mechanical strength of the alloy practically does not decrease after heating to around 50 to 100 ° C. In this case, too, it is expedient to measure the ratio of the content of niobium or niobium tantalum to the carbon content in such a way that practically all of the carbon is bound to this additional alloy component. Trials with a chemically neutral chromium-nickel steel alloy is performed, which is about o, 17% carbon, 8% nickel, 1 8 o o chromium, and r, 3% tantalum - + - containing niobium, hergaben that such an alloy even then chemically is stable and not brittle when it has been heated to around 50o to goo ° C.
It has been found to be beneficial for the stated purpose
to use such austenitic chromium-nickel steel alloys,
the
less than t o o carbon, about 12 to 4o% chromium, 7 to 25% nickel, up to 1o%
Contains niobium or niobium - @ - tantalum and the remainder iron. As the most important representative
in this alloy group are the steels with 0.07 to 0.2% carbon, for example
18% chromium, 8% nickel and 1 to 1.5% niobium tantalum mentioned.
Alloying niobium alone or mixed with tantalum is also for this reason
particularly advantageous as these elements not only contain the carbon in a die
but rather bind chemical and mechanical strength of the alloy preserving way
also produce particularly good welding conditions. The burning of these elements
during welding is very little.
