Artificial replacement parts for the interior of the human or animal body, in particular replacement chewing tools.
The invention relates to artificial replacement parts for the interior of the human or animal body, in particular replacement chewing tools (including their fastening parts) and consists in these objects being produced by molding from corrosion-resistant chromium-cobalt alloys known per se which are 0 -01-1% carbon, 6-30% chromium, 40-90%
Cobalt and the remainder iron or nickel or both metals together.
Furthermore, the alloys can contain other additives commonly used in alloy technology, e.g. B. silicon, manganese, tungsten, molybdenum, aluminum, titanium, vanadium, beryllium, boron, etc., individually or mixed, in amounts up to 6%.
It has been shown that the objects made from these alloys, at least to the same extent, against oxidizing influences, against attack by body fluids, e.g. B. oral juices and medicines, as well as against chemical agents (lactic acid, acetic acid, fatty acid, hydrogen sulfide) are resistant and have no effect on the taste buds, like objects, for the production of which austenitic chromium-nickel-iron alloys are used.
Compared to these molded articles previously used as spare parts for the human or animal body, the parts produced according to the invention are distinguished by the fact that the alloys used for production are better castable by filling the molds in the best possible way even with small wall thicknesses, so that even the smallest Castings can be cast sharply without difficulty, and that the finished castings also have high elasticity, properties which the austenitic chromium-nickel-iron alloys previously used for this purpose do not have. The alloys are also easy to solder, polish and, due to their hardness, are very resistant to scratching.
The use of an alloy with about 0.25% carbon, 25% chromium, 65% cobalt, 1% iron, 1% nickel, 1% manganese, 5% tungsten has proven to be particularly advantageous.
