Wind and weatherproof joint closure for windows and the like like

The subject of the present invention forms a joint seal for windows and. Like., In which a wind and weatherproof conclusion on the horizontal transverse sides is achieved in that the joint BEZW. A protective sheet is placed in front of the existing weather bar, which prevents the wind from blowing directly against the joint.

The drawing shows an exemplary embodiment of the subject matter of the invention in FIG. 1 in view, in FIG. 2 in section along A-A of FIG. As already known, angularly bent sheet-metal strips 8 are attached to the window sashes 2, which are rotatably arranged on the window frame 1 in a customary manner. the second wing arranged, likewise angularly bent sheet metal strips 4 engage.

In order to prevent the water from whipping under the drainage sheet 5 (weatherstrip) through the lower window joint in stormy rainy weather, the same are surrounded from the front and on the two narrow sides with a protective sheet 6, which expediently rests tightly on the cornice cladding and thus the space below the Drainage plate ends smoothly; as a result, the wind hits it and is deflected towards the window. The water running off the drainage plates can flow outwards through openings 7 on the lower edge of the protective plate.

The same device can also be provided on the other horizontal window joints, whereby in some cases, in particular on the upper window side, the protective sheet is used without the drainage hole and does not have a lower support. In order to also effectively prevent the water flowing in from the overlapping drainage plate 5 onto the drainage plate located below, a groove S is arranged on the latter, along which the water can flow off. This joint lock offers protection not only against rain, but also against wind and can be used for doors that are exposed to the weather, just like with windows of all kinds.
