Device for rainproof and windproof closure of windows and doors opening inwards.
The present invention relates to a device for the rainproof and windproof closure of inwardly extending windows and doors with the aid of a rail that can be raised and lowered by displacement. According to the invention, this Sehiene locking the wing receives such a design and arrangement with respect to the window frame bars BEZW. Door leaf and the sill or the fighter that a tight seal between these parts is achieved, which prevents the entry of water on the lower frame bar or the lower edge of the door, while the water penetrating and running down into the lateral height folds between the wing and the floor, as well as the condensation water that forms on the glazing is drained to the outside.
A penetration or an overflow of water over the. Rail ends prevented by sloping roofing of the rail ends provided with a corresponding wedge-shaped edge strip or Rord. Furthermore, the device has been implemented so that the raised rail is advantageously fixed by the locking bar of the window or door lock and a

In the drawing, the subject matter of the invention is shown, for example, on a window, namely FIG. 1 shows a view of part of the window, seen from the outside. me broken, on the one hand lowered, on the other hand, shown raised rail. Fig.

engages tightly as soon as the rail a is lifted, while the inner rail leg c protrudes at a small distance behind the inner surface of the rod g.
The ends of the rail lie in sections s of the side frame parts l. The cutouts s correspond to the cross-sectional shape of the rail and are dimensioned so that the rail can be raised and lowered unhindered. Each cutout is provided with a drain u leading to the sill cover t.

enter, from which it reaches the sill strip h1 in order to get partly between its outer surface and the outer lower leg k of the rail, partly into the groove i, from which it flows down onto the part of the sill cover t located in the recesses s, to run out through the drain u. The upper legs b, c of the rail and the groove d of the rod 9 suitably have a wedge-shaped cross-section in order to ensure on the one hand a tight mutual contact and on the other hand an unimpeded drainage of condensation water into the rail channel.

prevents the flow of water and, when the rail is raised, which is shown lowered in FIG. 9, lies tightly against the underside of the roof.
The rail carries a tab o, in which an opening p is provided for the passage of the lower end of the drive, rotating or other locking rod q used to lock the wings, the opening p of the tab only when the rail is lifted with the rod q corresponds, so that the raised rail can be determined by the locking bolt and the sash can only be locked when the rail is raised. When the rail is lowered, as a result of the lateral displacement of the rail during lowering, the

in the raised position engages tightly in a fold or a groove (d) on the underside of the lower rod (g) of the sash frame, characterized in that the rail with its ends in cut-outs (s) of the casing side parts (u) provided with a drain (u) l) protrudes and that the upper part of the inner rail leg (c) comes to stand a short distance behind the inner surface of the rod (g), so that the water hitting the rail from the outside is prevented from entering the rail channel, whereas this is on the side in the height folds (v)
Rainwater penetrating between the wing and the stick and running down along the latter or the vertical wing rods, as well as the condensation water into the rail channel, which is then directed to the outside through the drain (u).
