Automatic belt scale
The invention relates to an automatic belt scale, in which the feed of the weighing material fed to the weighing belt is interrupted at certain time intervals and the individual weights are transferred to a totalizing unit.
The known belt scales of this type have the disadvantage that they are complicated in their construction, since they require two conveyor belts with associated weighing devices.
There are also belt scales with a single conveyor belt, in which the length of the weighing belt is divided into a number of short measuring sections, the weights of which are determined using several clampable inclination pendulums by scanning the position of each clamped pendulum as a function of the belt speed a counter are transmitted. Although these belt scales produce precise weighings, they are complicated in their structure and mode of operation.
In contrast, the invention aims, on the one hand, to simplify the structure and, on the other hand, to enable precise weighing.
An automatic belt weigher according to the invention is characterized in that a single uninterrupted moving weighing belt is provided and the flow of heat material is only interrupted as briefly as it is for the at the moment when the weighing material poured onto the weighing belt is close to the waste point Weight determination is required, the device which interrupts the flow of material being weighed is automatically controlled as a function of the rotational movement of the weighing belt.
In the drawing, an exemplary embodiment of the invention is shown schematically in a side view.
With a, a belt conveyor of a belt scale is designated, on which the material to be weighed falling from a bulk trumpet b falls. The trumpet b can be closed by a butterfly valve c, which is connected to a guide roller e via a two-armed lever d. To control the shut-off valve c by means of the guide roller e, a cam disk f is used, which is in motion with one roller of the belt conveyor via a belt drive g. The belt conveyor a is connected to a weighing cabinet h which, for example, automatically determines the exact filling weight of the goods lying on the conveyor belt a as a function of the closing of the shut-off valve c and adds this to the previously registered weights.
The circumference of the cam disk f is selected in such a way that the shut-off valve c is closed at the moment when the material to be weighed on the conveyor has come close to the waste point. As soon as the shut-off valve is closed, the inclination pendulum of the balance is locked. During the emptying and the next filling of the conveyor device, the weighing result is added to previously registered weights in a known manner on a counter.
Instead of the cam disk f, a z. B. electrical control device can be provided, which opens and closes the butterfly valve c of the bulkhead b depending on the belt length of the belt scale.
