Description

  Elektrostatischer Kondensator.

  Electrostatic capacitor.

Patent No. 153989 relates to electrostatic capacitors in which at least one assignment disappears in the event of a breakdown at the breakdown points to such an extent that the current line is interrupted. The thickness of the metallic coating should be thinner than 5 11-. It goes without saying that the assignment must not be infinitely thin, because then there would no longer be any assignment that could have a capacitive effect. But the ohmic resistance also makes you uncomfortably noticeable if the coverings are too thin.

According to the invention, the lowest limit of the occupancy should therefore be a thickness of 0 # 05 jj. be taken. Very favorable values have been found for coverings with a thickness between 2 and 0'0511- '. The coverings are expediently applied to paper by vapor deposition, as already stated in the main application, and the connection is made on the front side.
