Description
Elektrostatischer Kondensator.
Electrostatic capacitor. The patent no. 181908 relates to electrostatic capacitors in which, in the event of a breakdown, a part of at least one coating located in the area of the breakdown point disappears to such an extent that the current: line between the two coatings is interrupted. It goes without saying that the covering must not be infinitely thin, because. then there would no longer be any coating that could have a capacitive effect.
But the ohmic resistance also makes itself uncomfortably noticeable in the case of coatings that are too thin, and there are then dangers to the resistance of the coating. According to the invention, a thickness of 0.05 μ should therefore be taken as the lowest limit of the thickness of the covering. The coverings who the appropriate, as already indicated in the main patent, applied by vapor deposition on paper.
