Die Erfindung bezieht sich auf eine Waschmaschine für Kleidungssttieke und ist hauptsächlich für Hausgebrauch bestimmt ; die Maschine besteht aus einem Behälter, an dessen Innenwänden gewellte
Blechstreifen od. dgl. angeordnet sind, und einen Rührer, durch den die Wäschestücke im Behälter herumgeschleudert und an den Blechstreifen oder Rohren gerieben werden. Gemäss der Erfindung sind in den durch die Bleehstreifen, Rohre od. dgl. im Behälter gebildeten lotrechten Schächten Klappen angeordnet, die sich nur nach oben öffnen können, so dass das bei axialen Bewegungen des Rührens nach oben gedrungene Wasser nicht zurückfliessen kann und in den Schächten bzw. unterhalb der Wäsche periodisch ein Vakuum gebildet wird.
Die Waschmaschine nach der Erfindung bewirkt eine rasche, gründliehe Reinigung der Kleidungsstücke ; sie kann auf einfache Weise hergestellt und bequem gehandhabt werden.
Fig. 1 der Zeichnung zeigt im Sehaubilde eine Waschmaschine nach der Erfindung bei abgenommenem Deckel, Fig. 2 einen Schnitt durch die Waschmaschine ohne Fussgestell, Fig. 3 schaubildlich die Waschmaschine mit Deckel und Fussgestell in kleinerem Massstab und Fig. 4 die zwecks Aufbewahrung oder Versand in das Fussgestell eingesehobene Waschmaschine.
Bei der dargestellten Ausführungsform besteht die Waschmaschine aus einem rechteckigen Behälter A, der sieh nach unten ein wenig verjüngt. An den Wänden des Behälters sind gewellte Blechstreifen B befestigt, welche mit den Wänden lotrechte schachtförmige Zwisehenräume C einschliessen. In diesen sind Klappen D angeordnet, die aus Gummilappen bestehen können, welche entweder in der Mitte der schachtförmigen Zwischenräume, wie dargestellt, oder an deren oberen Ende so angeordnet sind, dass sie den Durchtritt der Flüssigkeit durch die Kanäle nur in der einen Richtung (von unten nach oben) gelassen, in der andern Richtung (von oben nach unten) aber sperren. Die inneren, nach innen vorspringenden Oberflächen der gewellten Blechstreifen wirken als Reibflächen auf das Waschgut, wenn letzteres durch den Rührer Eherumgeschleudert wird.
Der Rührer ist an einer Stange e befestigt, welche in dem am Deckel F angebrachten Lager t drehbar und gleitbar gelagert ist, so dass der Rührer sowohl drehende als auch axial gerichtete Bewegungen ausführen kann. Beim Niederdrücken des Rührers wird die Flüssigkeit von der an den Wänden B sich anlegenden Wäsche verdrängt und in den Kanälen c hochgedrückt. Beim Heben des Rührers wird die Flüssigkeit infolge der Auflockerung der Wäsche von oben nach unten durch diese durchtreten, da sie am Zurückfliessen durch die Klappen D gehindert ist. Der Deekel F ruht auf einem Rahmen, der von der oberen Öffnung des Behälters nach innen ragt, und ist an dem Rahmen mittels Schrauben od. dgl. befestigt.
Am Boden des Behälters ist ein Ablaufhahn H angeordnet.

In the embodiment shown, the washing machine consists of a rectangular container A which tapers a little downwards.
