Die Heizung wird durch einen Schalter 6 eingeschaltet ; sie kann auch so geregelt werden, dass beim Erreichen einer bestimmten Temperatur die Stromzuführung selbsttätig unterbrochen wird, so dass ein Überhitzen der Masse nicht eintreten kann.
Soll Masse z. B. in ein Fass abgelassen werden, so wird der Hahnkegel od. dgl. mittels des Griffes 19 in die Offenstellung gebracht, worauf die Masse durch die Öffnungen 12 des Gehäuses, den Schlitz 15 des Hahnkegels und den Auslauf 21, das Anschlussstück 22 und den Einfüllsehlauch in das Fass fliesst.
Ist genügend Masse abgeflossen, so wird der Hahn (Ventil od. dgl.) durch Drehen des Griffes um 90 geschlossen ; hiebei kann die ganze noch im Auslauf 21, Anschlussstück 22 und Schlauch befindliche Masse vollständig abfliessen, da durch das offene Rohr 16 und die Hahnkegelbohrung 14 Luft nachströmen kann. Sowie der Hahn od. dgl. und der Schlauch auf diese Weise vollkommen entleert sind, wird das Entlüftungsrohr 16 an seiner Mündung 17 mit dem Pfropfen 18 verschlossen, um eine zu starke Abkiihlung des Hahnes od. dgl. und Schlauches durch längere Zeit hindurehstreichende kalte Luft zu verhüten.
PATENT-ANSPRÜCHE :
1. Schmelzkessel für Imprägniermasse od. dgl. mit einem im Inneren des Kessels angeordnete und von aussen zu betätigenden Ablasshahn od. dgl., dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass der Ablasshahn od. dgl.
- zwecks Entleerung bzw. Entlüftung des Auslaufes und des an diesen angeschlossenen Abfüllsehlauches beim Schliessen des Hahnes od. dgl. - mit einer Entlüftungseinrichtung versehen ist.
