Der Zweck der Erfindung ist, die Tafel mit dem Worte"Frei"wie sie auf Mietkraftwagen allgemein verwendet wird, bei Dunkelheit sichtbar zu machen. Durch die Anordnung zweier Lichttrichter werden die Lichtstrahlen einer Stecklampe in zwei zueinander senkrechte Bahnen zerlegt ; das eine Lichtbündel trifft die Fahne, in welcher eine Glastafel mit dem Worte"Frei"eingesetzt ist. Das zweite Lichtbündel beleuchtet ständig die Tabulatur des Taxameterapparates. Ist der Wagen besetzt, also die Fahne umgelegt, so wird durch eine einfache Drehung der Stecklampe das bezügliche Lichtbündel abgedrosselt, so dass nur die Tariftafel des Taxameterapparates beleuchtet bleibt. Diese Einrichtung ist notwendig, da die sonst nicht abgedrosselten Lichtstrahlen für den Lenker gefährliche Blendreflexe erzeugen könnten.
Die mit einem entsprechend langem Lichtkabel ausgerüstete Stecklampe dient auch als Suchlampe.
Die Erfindung ist in der Zeichnung dargestellt. Die Fig. 1 und 2 stellen in Auf-und Grundriss den Taxameterapparat dar, der mit der Vorrichtung gemäss der Erfindung ausgerüstet ist. Die Fig. 3 zeigt den Erfindungsgegenstand in grösserem Massstabe, Fig. 4 den Spannring und Fig. 5 die Stecklampe. Auf dem Taxametergehäuse sitzt die Vorrichtung gemäss der Erfindung mit den zwei Lichttrichtern 2 und. 1, verbunden mit einer Hülse 4, zum Aufnehmen der Stecklampe 5 mit dem Lichtkabel 6 ; die Stecklampe hat ein Fenster, das über beide Lichttrichter reicht, ist drehbar und mit einem Spannring 7, der einen Dorn 8 trägt, an der Hülse befestigt. Als Führung für den Dorn dient ein in der Hülse angebrachter Schlitz, der den Zweck hat, die Drehrichtung der Stecklampe nach beiden Seiten hin zu begrenzen.
Soll sowohl Tabulatur als auch die Tafel "Frei" beleuchtet werden, so wird die Stecklampe so gestellt, dass das Licht in beide Trichter fällt. Durch Drehung der Lampe kann der zur Fahne gerichtete Trichter abgeblendet werden. In Fig. 2 ist an der Vorrichtung ein Fortsatz 10 ersichtlich, versehen mit zwei Löchern, er dient zum Befestigen der Vorrichtung an dem Taxameterapparate mittels zweier Schrauben.
