Description
<Desc/Clms Page number 1>
EMI1.1
Formaldehyd, 10 g Amylacetat in 1 kg 90% igen Alkohol gelöst enthält.

Process for the production of an agent for protecting and killing insects.
Tests have shown that insects can smell phenylacetaldehyde, bromostyrene or mixtures of the aforementioned substances, which are sold under the name Hyacinthin or Hyacinth by the companies Dr. Schmitz, Düsseldorf, Haarmann & Reimer, Holzminden and other fragrance factories are not tolerated.
It has now been found that said odorous substances or mixtures thereof in connection with formalin and amyl acetate, dissolved in high-grade alcohol, have a killing effect on insects.
EMI1.1
Contains formaldehyde, 10 g of amyl acetate dissolved in 1 kg of 90% alcohol. This solution is best distributed using an atomizer and enables even stubborn vermin nests to be destroyed within a few minutes.
The advantages of this process are that the high alcohol makes the pests resistant to the action of the destructive substances. This solution can be atomized onto the finest silk wallpaper, carpets, upholstered furniture, woolen fabrics, furs, etc. without leaving stains or other marks.
