tar oils with caustic alkalis must be carried out in the heat, which on the one hand results in a great loss of material (around 40% of the oils are removed by this treatment), on the other hand many substances similar to tannins, which have particularly beneficial effects in the disinfectant, are resinified or destroyed.

Thus, the present process has nothing in common with the production of the known beechwood tar preparations and the preparations made from "wood creosote" and offers a significant technical advance compared to it, since for the first time the disinfectant produced in the present process can achieve this beneficial therapeutic effect.

Example: 100 parts of heavy beechwood tar oil, as obtained in the free-fire distillation of beechwood tar, with a specific gravity of over 1, is diluted with ener

subjected to cold water. This is best done in the agitator. The oil treated in this way is agitated with about 10 parts of a 10% strength hydrochloric acid or sulfuric acid and washed acid-free with cold water after the hydrochloric acid has been lifted off.

Depending on the quality of the beechwood tar oil, 80 to 90 parts of a neutral crude oil freed from nitrogen bases and aldehydes are obtained, which are mixed with about 60 parts of viscous, neutral caliphes: fe, made from vegetable oil, at an elevated temperature (80-100) for so long stir until the mixture is clear. The disinfectant obtained from EO represents a vb kos es 01, which can be used as an emulsion for it or in a mixture with water.

Claims (1)

PATENT CLAIM: Process for the preparation of disinfectants from beechwood tar oils made water-soluble or emulsifiable with water with the help of Se: fe, characterized in that the raw, heavy beechwood oil, which has not yet been treated with chemical agents but has been freed from pitch, is cleaned in succession before being mixed with soap weak alkalis (caustic alkalis excluded) and with dilute sulfuric acid at ordinary temperature.
