  Verfahren zur Herstellung eines   Asbestschiefermateriales.   



   Gegenstand der vorliegenden Erfindung bildet eine Verbesserung des im Patent Nr. 97931 beschriebenen Verfahrens zur Herstellung eines neuartigen Asbestschiefermateriales, nach welchem Asbestschieferplatten in feuchtem, halbfeuchtem oder trockenem Zustande unter Zwischenlagerung eines wasserbeständigen Bindemittels abwechselnd mit Sperrholzplatten derart übereinander geschichtet werden, dass die oberste und unterste Platte von Asbestschiefer gebildet wird, und dass die einen solchen Stoss bildenden Platten durch hohen hydraulischen Druck vereint werden. 



   Die Verbesserung liegt darin, dass die Asbestschieferplatten, welche infolge ihrer Herstellung auf der Papiermaschine einen ausgesprochenen, in der Längsrichtung der Platten liegenden Faserverlauf aufweisen, bei Herstellung der Stösse so verlegt werden, dass ihre Faserrichtung senkrecht zu jener der unmittelbar anliegenden Furnierlage der Sperrholzplatte verläuft. Durch diese gegenseitige Lage der Fasern der unmittelbar aufeinanderfolgenden   Holz-und Asbestschieferplatten   wird in der neuartigen Platte eine sehr erhebliche zusätzliche Sperrwirkung erzielt, durch welche die Steifigkeit, Zähigkeit und relative Festigkeit in ganz beträchtlichem Masse, etwa auf das Doppelte, erhöht werden kann.

   The subject of the present invention is an improvement of the method described in patent no. 97931 for the production of a new type of asbestos slate material, according to which asbestos slate panels in the moist, semi-moist or dry state with intermediate storage of a water-resistant binding agent are alternately layered with plywood panels in such a way that the top and bottom panels is formed by asbestos slate, and that the plates forming such a joint are united by high hydraulic pressure.



   The improvement lies in the fact that the asbestos slate panels, which, as a result of their manufacture on the paper machine, have a pronounced fiber course in the longitudinal direction of the panels, are laid when the joints are produced so that their fiber direction runs perpendicular to that of the directly adjacent veneer layer of the plywood panel. Due to this mutual position of the fibers of the wood and asbestos slate panels in direct succession, a very considerable additional blocking effect is achieved in the new type of panel, by means of which the rigidity, toughness and relative strength can be increased to a very considerable degree, approximately twice as much.
