  Sperholzplatte.

  Plywood panel.

The invention relates to the use of plywood made of cross-glued veneers for strongly changing loads, in particular for aircraft and the like.

Plywood panels are usually manufactured in such a way that one fiber layer runs in the longitudinal direction and the next in the transverse direction of the objects to be manufactured. For special purposes, e.g. B. for the production of wooden ornaments pressed under high pressure, the shifting of the fiber course in veneer plywood in as many different directions as possible has already been proposed. Such objects have to withstand neither tensile nor compressive stresses.

The subject of the invention is the use of plywood in such a way that the objects are cut out of thin flexible plywood sheets and installed in such a way that the direction of stress essentially coincides with the bisection line of the angle formed by the fibers of the superimposed plywood layers.

This use has the particular advantage. that the resistance of all layers is equally effective in the points of application of the stress, in contrast to the fiber direction running parallel and perpendicular to the direction of stress.

According to the invention, the blocked-off plates used for large objects exist, e.g. B. for aircraft bodies and the like .. in each individual layer of parts of the same fiber direction between which glue joints, omitting the longitudinally fibered underlay, so that strip-shaped panels are then produced, the length of which exceeds that of the usual veneers. In this way, panels are produced that can be produced as long as desired even in a small press and have the same strength properties for every part of their length.

Above all, such a record is extraordinarily large
Flexibility and elasticity, so that e.g. B. 1 20 m like cards can be rolled up into a roll of about 20 cm diameter. Small plates are also subject to high stress on bending
 EMI1.1
Principle of using plywood and gluing due to the high elasticity achieved here. Another particular advantage of the subject matter of the invention is this.
