Abstract

Se proporciona un método para la producción de callos embriogénicos de soja y embriones somáticos. Se proporciona además métodos para transformar explantes que incluyen generar tejido de embrión somático. Los embriones somáticos transgénicos producidos pueden usarse para regenerar plantas transgénicas estables. Reivindicación 1: Un método para la producción de callos embriogénicos, donde el método comprende: seleccionar uno o más embriones de soja inmaduros; someter uno o más embriones inmaduros a tratamiento en frío; e inducir los embriones tratados en frío a formar callos embriogénicos. Reivindicación 13: Un método para la transformación de soja, donde el método comprende: seleccionar múltiples embriones de soja inmaduros; someter los embriones inmaduros a tratamiento en frío; transformar los embriones cigóticos inmaduros tratados en frío con uno o más transgenes exógenos; e inducir los embriones cigóticos transformados a formar embriones somáticos y producir así tejido de embrión somático transgénico.
